Thanks!! I really couldnt believe it, that was fast, I dnt really think im ready yet :wacko: Did they give you your new case #??

They did, but I had to ask for it - and I almost forgot to ask at all as I was celebrating in my head! It starts with a 3 letter code for whatever your embassy would be - kinda like an airport code, and then a bunch of numbers.

No longer WAC-ed out!

That's right no more WAC... I got a VNN (Vienna).... Now i just need to translate my documents, It is freaking expensive 150 dlls each page!!!

wow ... you guys' petitions have arrived at NVC already ! Cool !

I still havent checked mine. maybe I will ask my fiance to do it but haha... not sure if he bothers to do that !!

he will definitely say "when it comes, it comes, just wait for the notice from NVC !!" :angry:

My fiancee is just like that: WHEN IT COMES, IT COMES" lol, that is why I always do things myself, I rather spend some money on phone cards than ask him to do it and have to hear how stressed I am getting over nothing. The only problem about calling is that english speaking people sometimes dnt understand what I am trying to say haha, and spanish ones dnt know anything (noting against latinamericans, I am one of them)... :whistle:

encouraged by you, I decided to call NVC by myself !!!

good news, the case is there and I got the case number ... I asked the rep when it will be sent to Hong Kong and he said NVC is still processing it

yeah ... though I learn and speak English, still I encounter language barriers sometimes ... :blink:

YEAH!!!!! :dance: way to go girl!!! Congratulations!! If sometimes is hard to understand someone who speaks your own language on the phone, now trying to do it with someone who doesnt...... ufff Now to get ready for the interview :(

I'm another member of the CSC May 3rd NOA2 gang and called the NVC last night for the first time. They told me that my petition was already sent (May 9th) to the US embassy in Korea! Wow, I guess I just got lucky...

Also, I think if you call late at night (I think the NVC actually closes pretty late), you'll have a much shorter time on hold before talking to someone.

03/06/08: NOA for I-485 and I-131

03/27/08: Biometrics appointment

04/11/08: RFE? - Had to redo biometrics because of unreadable fingerprints

04/18/08: 2nd biometrics appointment

05/08/08: Received AP in mail

06/27/08: Interview appointment received in mail

08/13/08: Interview appointment

It seems that the first 3 letter code stands for the consulate/embassy the petition will be going

I am just a bit curious, mine starts with GUC, and I am from Hong Kong. I am not sure if it's the code for HK ? or for Guangzhou ?? worry about that !! I hope NVC wont mess up my thing !!

can anyone share their experiences ?

Dnt worry, Im sure everything will be OK, just give them a call tomorrow as soon as they open and ask them about your petition. No need to be worried in advance (haha i just sounded like my SO :unsure: )

feel really frustrated ... and today is Sunday !!! still have to wait for tomorrow to call !!

this time, I really have to ask my fiance to do it ! I guess it's too complicated for me to talk with the ppl in NVC, so as to correct the whole thing. :crying:

Any May 3d-ers or thereabouts received the hard copy NOA2 yet? I'm not stressing over it since we don't really *need* the hard copy until the AOS stage, but I'm still curious as to where it could be.

And do we get a paper confirmation that the petition has shipped from NVC to the Embassy? (I've seen it refered to in other places on VJ, but maybe that's just for CR1s, etc? Not that it matters much . . . .)

Fingers crossed for more people to join us in this thread in the coming week!

What do you mean with AOS (adjustment of status)??? I know we need it for the interview. I havent got it either

carla-justin, you will need to submit a copy of your NOA2 when it comes time for you to file for AOS after your SO arrives and you are married.
