yeah, looks like abotu 14-17 days? I can handle that, I suppose. I mean, I'd prefer 7. Or 1. But compared to, like, say, 111 days of waiting for something . . . . ;)

Any other recently approved brides-to-be tentatively starting to looks at wedding dresses again? I'm sort of slighly looking at wedding things - don't want to jinx anything!

C'MON NVC!

wedding dresses! I'm talking about gold lamé, cowboy shirts and Elvis marrying us Vegas style. It's how I knew we were meant to be, his eyes lit up when I suggested it :)

haha, you guys are hilarious! my wedding dress is hanging in my closet already, just needs to be altered a bit :) other than some of the final, last minute details pretty much everything is planned - flowers, location, official, reception, guests, cake, etc. when i go visit my honey next week i'm going to check out florists in town so that i know delivery times and prices for the flowers i want (one less thing to do after the move) and we're going to go look at suits for him. i told him he could wear his dress blue uniform, but he wants a suit - doesn't matter to me, as long as he's there and looking presentable! lol

I haven't even started looking at dresses or anything, still need to decide my colors too. We are having a "quickie" wedding at the church with our parents/siblings only in October if all goes well, then having the real deal next April. I think it might be crazy to spend all sorts of money when we will already be married but oh well!

Okay, sorry to yell. But I just called, figuring, eh, what the hell, I need a break anyway. Tried once, got booted back to the automatic menu due to high call volume. Called again, got put on the hold line. Waited Waited Waited . . . .

And then a woman I'd have kissed if I could have - named Kim - answered and asked for the number. I read it off to her.

And she said those magic words "what is the beneficiary's name and DOB?"

!!!!!!

I told her, and she said "what's your question." I said "I think you just answered it!"

So it's there. And I got my new State Dept case number!

I needed that today too. Ooooh, so good.
