I received recall notice on May 30th and I returned my GC using their pre-paid envelope on June 1st. The only update I have on my case is "We recalled your GC" dated May 14th.

I have international trip in two weeks. Worried if I will receive my new GC by then.

Spoke to USCIS tier 2 officer and was told to go to nearest USCIS office and get I-551 stamp before my trip. Have been trying to get InfoPass appointment but no luck yet :(

I would give them a call, it's taking to long with the updates.

Thanks Manc73

I called them and they asked me to do walk-in at USCIS field office if no appointment is available, which I was going to do soon.

Meanwhile, I got an update today that my card is being produced :)

Reading VJ posts, I guess I should get it by the end of next week. So won't go to USCIS office now.

So, update time. It took a bit longer for me to receive news compared to the first people in this thread. I think that's probably because I took a couple extra days to send the old card in? Received recall notice 5/18, sent it 5/22, they received it 5/24. I used my own Priority Mail envelope and not theirs, if that matters at all.

The only update I saw for a while was 5/14 "we recalled your green card". I never had an update that said they received my old card and destroyed it like I saw someone else got. The first update I ever got was 6/12 - and it was straight to "we mailed your card". I was pretty surprised. No "card is being produced", nothing. When I go to the case history now, I see a "card is being produced" update dated 6/7 but that was definitely not there when I checked before.

On the other website I got an update with a tracking number (which I never did for the original card) and the card should be coming in a few hours. It was about 3 weeks all in all. Hopefully it's correct this time!

We received a recall notice in early May and returned the incorrect green card on May 22.  The only post change on the website status was that the green card was recalled, and that didn't appear until June 10.   We finally sent an email to USCIS to the address in our recall letter and received a response that they couldn't tell us anything about our case through email, and couldn't even answer our question of whether or not they received the green card.  But they gave two pages of what to do in case international travel is required.  Since our original ROC extension letter doesn't end until September 30, 2018, we're ok for a little bit longer.  But we hated to surrender the 10 year green card and know this would probably happen.  Meanwhile, we asked our attorney to check into this and she was at least able to get more information that they received our green card and that we should give them until July 5, 2018 before making another inquiry.  There was also another error on the green card in regard to the name reverting back to the pre-married name change; so that may also be causing a longer time to correct.

It seems like there isn't any kind of centralized leadership at USCIS, especially with a lack of training of new employees.  So many errors are reported here at VJ and we probably only represent 1% of the total applications being processed.  Think about the other 99% not on VJ having to deal with all of this.  Over the long term, most everyone is approved when the submitted information is legitimate.  It just takes more time for the inconveniences of getting extensions.  Good luck to everyone.

Hi does anyone got their green card back? It’s been 2 months that I send my green card back to the recall address they provide.
