I hope this is in the right section.   I see the finish line.  My fiancé has his interview coming up and I have to send him then i134 so he can bring it to his interview.   I’ve heard that as long as my last tax return shows enough income I won’t have to fill in the rest like bank balance stocks etc.  Is this true?

Also if it is true is a 2017 tax return sufficient or do I need to supply more documents like w2 pay stubs etc

For myself, I supplied 3 years W2's, 3 months (6 total) paystubs of most current months. Letter from employer specifying all specific job information and pay. That was all, as it was well above the requirements. I didn't have any large savings amount of anything to show so figured why bother.

Are recent pay stubs required?  I’ve been taking time off lately 😢

If your income is sufficient, then you don't need to provide asset information. You must provide evidence of your current income. If you are an employee for a company (i.e. not self-employment), then your primary source of evidence for current income would be recent paystubs and an employment letter. At least the most recent year's tax return should also be provided. COs from some countries tend to look at some stuff more than others (i.e. India is pretty strict with evidence, whereas Manila rarely even asks for the I-134).

Can really vary how strict it is by what embassy you'll be going through. What is the country of the beneficiary? And they aren't necessarily crucial as long as you can prove annual income is sufficient. A letter from your employer could be helpful.
