I've heard of people having trouble like this before.  It's not uncommon.

Yup .. CFO always "smells blood" in the water with the meek, timid, shy  ...  but still your situation is further over the edge then any I have been in contact with before.

CFO refuses to answer my questions..  Why did you tell my fiance to find another man?  Why did you tell my fiance to stop receiving money from me?   Why did you tell my fiance I'm an abuser when there's no record of such anywhere?  Why are you unjustly holding my fiance in Ph against her will?  etc!  They are cowards!   This line of questioning and statements doesn't fall in line with their ministerial mandate to counsel!  It's strictly agenda based!

Btw how is your whole thing going now? You never kept us up to date

My husband flys up tomorrow to Manila to go to the CFO.  He's bringing all the paperwork we needed for the adoption (which was approved in 2014) and the visa (which was approved last month).  This CFO thing is our final hurdle to getting our son, age 10, whom we've had since he was 9 months old, out of the country to the USA.

CFO does not require a seminar for 10 years of age.   Bringing the adoption paperwork is important.   CFO will want a copy of the Immigrant Data Sheet that is attached to the DO NOT OPEN envelope (don't detach it), along with a copy of the visa .. and of course bring the passport.

Took my wife about 30 minutes to get the sticker affixed in her passport, back in the day.

Thanks for all your replies.  We'll go up to Manila for the sticker.  To bad there is no office in Davao.

I completely agree with you there since my asawa is from Davao as well. Luckily she went to Cebu for CFO and not Manila but it was still BS. Where in Davao are you from?

Well, my husband went to CFO today and was in and out in 15 minutes with a sticker for our adopted son!  We are so thankful it was a smooth process!

WoW!!  That was quick!  :)      Maybe CFO is improving their service...

I didn't expect there to be any issues.
