Hello

This may be of interest to anyone affected.

My experience of these calls is that they're heavily attended by immigration attorneys and agencies, but they are open to anyone via the USCIS Outreach page: https://www.uscis.gov/outreach/upcoming-national-engagements.

If you're interested, you can register for notifications on upcoming events too: https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/USDHSCISINVITE/subscriber/new?preferences=true

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) invites you to participate in a teleconference on Tuesday, May 22, from 2 – 2:30 p.m. (Eastern) to discuss the recall of certain Green Cards due to a production error.

On May 14, we began recalling approximately 8,500 Permanent Resident Cards (also known as Green Cards), that contain an incorrect “Resident Since” date. We issued these cards between February and April 2018 to spouses of U.S. citizens after  we approved their Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions of Residence. The correct “Resident Since” date on the new Green Card should be the same as the “Residence Since” date on the expired two-year Green Card.

During the teleconference, subject matter experts will provide additional information, give helpful tips, and answer a few non-case specific questions.

To join this session:

Dial in number: 888-324-2874

Passcode: 5407050

If you have any questions, please write to public.engagement@uscis.dhs.gov.

To request a disability accommodation to participate, please write to the email address above by Monday, May 21 at 5 p.m. (Eastern).

Note to Media: This engagement is not for press purposes. Please contact the USCIS Press Office at 202-272-1200 for any media inquiries.

Thank you so much for flagging this. Im gonna join in. This is a severe problem for all of us affected for so many reasons. I've called twice already and got different answers to my questions (my husband is traveling outside of the country on this GC now and cant return it within the 20 day time frame). Hoping whatever the official answer is given to lawyers/journalists will make sense!
