For K1: Can I change jobs while waiting for I-129F approval?

I've been struggling with how to word this question. 

 

My fiance is from Philippines but currently working in Saudi Arabia. If we get approved, she will be doinng her interview from the Manila embassy after she returns to Philippines in March of 2019. I already have my I-129F form filled out and ready to send. 

 

The problem is I really want to change jobs. Right now I'm a security supervisor but I want to get back into truck driving, which would take a couple of months to accomplish. 

 

If I sent the I-129F now, and then changed jobs 2 months later, would that be ok? Or do I need to wait until I change jobs first before sending the I-129F? Or should I wait until the entire K1 is approved before changing jobs?

Any help is appreciated.

Your changing jobs shouldn't be an issue - people do it all the time - as long as your income continues to be sufficient for you to sponsor your fiance.

Change jobs at anytime, it really won't be a factor in your K-1 visa process. Even when filing for the AOS later as long as your income falls above the poverty level it will be fine.

Ok thanks alot. Yeah I was affraid if my employment verification doesn't match my I-129F there could be a problem.

Ok perfect. Thanks alot. Yeah i was just affraid of the employment history on the I-129F not having my new job on it when I fill out the I-134. Much appreciated thats a big help.

No issue at all.    Complete the I-129F employment history as things currently are.. all will be fine.

 

Update the I-134 employment information at interview time .

Being in the petition process does not mean the USCIS has you by your #########.  You are able to continue to live life and improve your life situation as you  desire

I not only changed jobs, but I moved during the process.

 

There should be no issues.

i filed in August 2017 changed jobs in september a month later and our visa was approved in Feb 2018 with  no issues POE will be May 30th (thank you Lord!)
