Thank you for sharing your experience!

We are still waiting for our NOA2 but I am very nervous about the medical.

In his record he has been admitted to the hospital for taking ecstasy.... this was two years ago.

We want to be honest as to not risk anything, but we are also terrified, because of heard some people getting a 1 year ban for just marijuana !!

He can pass a drug test so I am hoping that is all they will ask of him to do and once he passes it will be fine...

Managed to book it. The phone lines were down and not working until this evening. The next available appointment wasn't until 19th June :( everything always seems so long!

19th June? That sounds wrong, especially for Knightsbridge. When I booked my medical, I called on the Monday and I got an appointment for that same week on the Friday. If I were you I’d call every few days and ask if they have any earlier days or any cancellations

I'm still waiting for NVC to send over to the Embassy. I'm a little nervous though. Requested my medical history and well it's a lot of paper work. The only problem is, is the my immunization records are incomplete. I've moved about 3 times in the past 14 years and my childhood book was in a box that was misplaced by the removal company. There are no records of my BCG vaccination and no record of me having chicken pox either. I have my scar from my BCG though and remember having chicken pox too. Is that going to be enough?

BCG is not given in the United States (be advised that if you are ever given a skin TB test this vaccine may result in a false positive - see the CDC website for more details about that). This vaccine is not required though.

The shots you need for ages 18 and over can be found here:

Knightsbridge will accept your word for it that you have had chicken pox. The chicken pox vaccine was never routinely given in the UK.

My suggestion would be to go to your GP and get the required shots ahead of time, and take proof of them to the medical. Even if you haven't got the childhood book, you should be able to obtain a printout from the doctor of what vaccines you had in the past and any new ones you will get. You'll be all set then. Again only the vaccines listed in that thread are the ones necessary for immigration purposes.

BCG not needed so forget it.

Tell them your mum said you had chicken pox when you were X years old. You do not need written proof.

You only need a summary page, not the actual records. They should be able to print that out quickly.

Thank you! Have got a summary, but it is still pretty long as I have had various medical conditions since birth.

@yuna628 Thanks also! Seems I have everything apart from the Dtap, so will get that before the medical.
