Our living wills and wills are both notarized.  For both it will depend on the regulations in your state on how much work it takes to get them.  In my state for example, you can write a will on a piece of paper the day you die and it's valid.  But without a witness and notary, any assets can still end up in probate.

Is living will enough or should we still get MPOA? I printed a living will online which is completely free but the MPOA have fees. Not sure if I should get both or living wil is enough. Please help.

We did Living Wills and Normal Wills.  The living will was free minus the notary cost.  The wills were $10 each, plus notary costs.

Hi Everybody!

Got approved on July 13th, Yay!!! So glad they didn't ask us for any interview so I'm very happy about it. FYI: They sent me 2 emails:

July 13th:

1) Post decision activity - your appeal was dismissed. ---- We didn't have any appeal so not sure why they sent me that email, people say it was a glitch so it was. I got nervous on this one though, but I figured it was a mistake since some people had the same experience. If you didn't appeal anything, that's a mistake for sure.

2) Card/document production --- Yay!!! But still got furious about the 1st email

July 14th - I received another email saying they will send the approval letter. (Luckily, I have infopass for the stamp on this day too since I have a new passport) The officer confirmed that it was a mistake and that my card/approval is processing. He didn't even know that you can get approval without interview. So another yay for me! Confirmed!

I just followed the RFE letter with well organized documents. Used USPS Large box, attached the envelope they sent on top of the large box. We didn't have any joint account except for HSA and I joined my husband on my cc (last minute)  so the only statement I sent with his name on it is the last statement - the rest are all in my name only, so for anyone worried about this part. It can work without joint savings/checking account. I only sent a couple of statement (3-4, not even the last 4 months) for each year that I have my account, NOT the entire month for each year. Just make sure to explain to the cover letter why you didn't have some of the requirements.

By the way, mailed in the box on June 2nd, they emailed me around 6pm that documents was received and will be processed again on June 5th. So, it took 6 business days and 8 days total for them to approve my RFE. That was really fast and thank goodness I can relax. Waited 4 years total.

Good luck to everyone! I know you can do it too! :)

Thank you! I got my approval letter first on June 18, 2018 and received my green card on June 21, 2018.

Did you receive yours yet? I hope you did. I haven't been on here since but I just check now and glad I did :)

Sorry to hear that. Did they approve you on their website or any update so far? If they did, you should be getting the approval letter and GC. It's weird if you haven't. Maybe it got lost in the mail? You should ask for an infopass the at the immigration center near you, I'm sure they'll know what happen to your application.

I got approved on both their website and few days later I got an Approval letter but the GC never came. I called a few times ( one time a tier 2 told me it never was sent out in the system so they couldn't provide a tracking number) and then I submitted an e-request.  At the end of may they send me another letter telling me that they did send it but I never received and the post office never returned it. So I should file for the I-90, so I did at the beginning of June. Got a few letters that they received my case, same biometrics are used from the ROC. June 12 I requested an expedite and on June 15 I see at my "case history" It got completed (whatever that means lol). But I haven't heard from them since.

Infopass is 2 hour drive so total of 4 hours. Right now we can't do that because of our situation..I might still go when it gets better if I still haven't heard from them 🙃.

I have a feeling it got lost in the mail for some reason. I lost an important mail from USPS and never found out how it got lost. Oh well, as long as they updated your case history then that's good. Hopefully everything works out fine with your GC. They might reprint your GC which is fine, but only a hassle to wait that long. At least you have your approval letter, no need to worry of what not ;) Good luck! :)

I’m jointly filed i751 with my ex in Nov 2017. Notified USCIS about the divorce proceedings in Dec 2018. They sent me an RFE in March 2019. I responded back with a ton of documents to prove good faith marriage, personal statement and divorce decree to CSC a few days later. Does anyone have an idea of how long CSC usually takes to respond to RFE?
