AOS and vaccinations

No record of my childhood vaccinations could be found here in the UK, so subsequently I presently need the MMR again.

I couldn't have the MMR since I'm pregnant.

I can't have the MMR until I've had the baby, which is in September.

Does that mean even if we get married in July I will not be able to file for AOS until I've had the vaccination???

I believe there is a place on the form for the doctor to indicate that its not medically appropriate for you to have the vaccine. So you should be able to file as soon as possible. Here is the form. Pregnancy would be a contraindication.

My understanding about the medical and AOS: when you get to the states, you'll take the form that they gave you at the Knightsbridge medical (which I think is form DS 3025) to a civil surgeon here. They should transcribe this on to form I 693A, which you then send in with your AOS paperwork.

I believe what the above poster said is true - they would transcribe that the MMR cannot be given until Sept, due to your pregnancy. Perhaps you could schedule an appt in late September with that civil surgeon to have the MMR and he could note that on the I 693A as well?
