Hello everyone! After trying in the past to bring my fiancé here on a K1 visa and being denied, I am planning to visit her soon and had plans to just get married there. I was wanting to do it here, but it's cheaper there and I've settled on just having a reception here instead. According to stories I have read it does not go along with what the US Embassy has listed on their webpage. Is there someone that can tell me where to look and find out the accurate information on what I need to do. Also before saying check the forums, I have and all date back years ago so I am hoping to hear back from recent dealings.

Embassy site looks proper to me.  You start by filing an I-130 petition with the USCIS stateside AFTER you are married

YMMV

Thanks for the link! I have read and feel pretty confident understanding what is required on the US government's side for a CR1. The part that is confusing for me is understanding what happens after I leave the US Embassy in Cambodia with the permission to marry. My fiance lives there but is not street smart, and I don't mean that in a bad way. I am trying to find out if you have to stay there for a month and can avoid all the scams their government tries to pull. I have heard some people forking out as much as $1200 to get marriage certificates approved there.

If you can do everything for $1200 you are lucky. My guess between $1300 to $2000 just to go through the process. Not counting if you have an actual marriage ceremony. It will take almost 4 weeks minimum to process and you have to be present the whole time. You have to get permission from Cambodian ministry of foreign affairs and there are many steps and many tea money(Bribe) involved. I went through this back in 2012 after our K-1 was denied a year earlier. I am pretty sure it’s still same. They do have legit brokers do this for a fee if you don’t want to get hassled but still you have to be present whole time. This process actually harder then actual visa journey itself. Brighter side is if you can go through this your visa journey will be a breeze compared to this. People from other countries not familiar with this. It’s one of a kind with Cambodia. That’s why you got some confused answers.
