Hi everyone!

I have another question and was wondering if anyone could help me out.  This forum and website are so incredibly useful and I am so grateful for this amazing resource!

Will I be able to travel outside the USA once my Visa is issued in my passport and I have entered the USA but before my actual green card is received via mail?  If yes, is there anything specific I will need to have to be able to do so?

Any information would be greatly appreciated :)

Thank you in advance!

Yes.  Your passport will get a stamp that gives you status until the green card arrives

YMMV

Thank you! I was reading all sorts of things about advance parole and reentry permits and couldn't understand if it applied to me once my passport was stamped but before I was in actual receipt of card. It was quite confusing but thank you so much for providing a very comprehensible answer!

The endorsed Visa becomes a temporary green card valid for 1 year.  You can use it as proof that you can work and travel until you receive the hard copy.

You can travel but make sure you book an appointment on Infopass to get the stamp. It's usually very hard to book an appointment, but there are some tricks that you can look up online.

I just recently got my green card. I received it in exactly one week after my interview. If you are not in a huge rush, you might not even need to get a stamp :)

Thank you! What stamp are you referring to and what is infopass?

OP does not need an infopass or a stamp.  The endorsed Visa in the passport is a green card valid for 1 year.  Sounds like you adjusted your status but the OP is entering via CR1 Visa

An infopass however is an appt at a USCIS field office.  You dont need one.  You also dont need an I-551 (aka green card) stamp.
