All is well.  Nothing to discuss here.  It's the killing of a tumor by stopping blood flow, usually via a catheter in the artery.  Kind of like injecting chemicals into the blood supply vessels that clog them, and the tumor just dies.

 

I'm sure the King of BC can describe it better for us, but it's the euthanization  of a tumor.

Ya probably what IDWAF said.

 

"Benign kidney conditions" are not my area of expertise but most likely it was a benign tumor/growth that had blood supply. It was probably causing pain and/or bleeding because it was growing. It would have to be more than a cyst because you wouldn't embolize something unless there was blood supply to it. 

 

As to admission to hospital - It's probably because she is the First Lady. If it went well she could probably go home the same day but I admit I probably wouldn't take chances with her. Then again I've seen reports that she may stay in house the rest of the week. That seems a little overkill.
