Hello I don't frequent these forums often but out of curiosity has any 2018 filers received their NOA2?

Is the USCIS still on November of 2017-ish?

I hear of some people getting processed in 5/4 months (no RFEs) and some taking 6 or 7 with no RFEs.

If USCIS goes each month at a time does it depend more on the complexity of the case?

Thanks and happy Tuesday. ( it is officially 3 months for us now ! )

You have at least 4 months to wait for NOA2. It takes longer these days.

4 months seems like nothing compared to 6 or 7 months !

I am hoping ours will be here by August.

Always many factors that can be taken into consideration. As for cases in 2018 already approved for NOA2? Possibly some from early January (not to count approved expedited ones of course).

Average time seems to be 5-7 months right now.

Like you said it is case by case. Some petitions are nice and small and organized and very easy to get through for the person reviewing the file, where some people may send 100 pages. That can really slow things down.

People get sick, take vacation, misplace paperwork (causing some of the RFE's, not all obviously). Some work faster than others, some I have heard can take some paperwork home with them to do over time. They may receive paperwork for an rFE and switch back to the petition causing yours to not get looked at.

All varying factors into the time frame. Definately is a lot slower these days compared to 2-3 years ago.

What a mess!

Ours is pretty straight forward, no previous marriages, no criminal records ect...

And we used an attorney to help us file so *fingers crossed* hoping it will be 5 months.

I cannot take off any work until August so we have not seen each other since January.

Ours was simple too, same like yours, no marriages, no kids, no criminal history, nothing. So we left the petition to the very simplest form.

Totally understand you, most everyone here is in same boat or has been as to being apart. We didn't see eachother for 16 months before he arrived finally. In part mostly also cause of my work and moving and all but we all definately understand the distance and seperation.

Not to negate your frustration, but for comparison purposes... we filed in June 2017 and our NOA2 didn't come until December 1. He didn't get his visa until the following March. We didn't see one another between April 2017 and February 2018. You definitely are not alone, and doesn't sound like you are outside of average processing times. It's hard, but you just have to be patient and remember what you are doing it for. I can guarantee you that it is worth every second of it once you're on the other side.

Håll ut, y'all.

October 2017 filer here and I still have not received my NOA2, I know half of the October filers haven't received anything yet and we are now going on 7 months since NOA1, I would definitely plan on 6 months since your NOA1 for an NOA2, from the threads I have been monitoring the time frame isn't the same as it used to be a year ago where within 4 months you could get an NOA1. Some people were even wishing they did the Spousal Visa verses Fiance Visa due to the time frame being almost similar and hte beneficiairy getting a Green Card upon arrival right away.

The process requires a lot of patience and low expectations for a fast turnaround in order to not get let down if it takes longer, but in the end will all be worth it!
