Hello everyone,

I haven’t posted a question or answered anything before, but Im currently waiting for the I129F decision. I got my first NO1 on November 24 of last year and according to the website’s timeline estimation I should get a response by May 27 - June 1.

My questions are, is it still possible to receive an RFE this far along the petition? And also, if petitions are denied do they wait till this long in the process or do they send denials way before the estimated timeline? Thank you to all that respond. God bless.

if it makes you slightly more comfortable, you can click on the menu tab on VisaJourney, go to "Immigrations Timeline" and finally look for Timeline Search. you will be directed to a page which has a lot of options and if you mess with it enough, you'll be able to see all the recent cases and the time taken for VJers to go from NOA1 to NOA2.

personally my NOA1 was on the 28th July, and NOA2 aprroval on 21st February. there was no RFE. there are couples whose cases took much longer than that.

right now anything can happen. i've been in your shoes where i worried so i won't tell you not to. just... here's something that might help you understand what's up.

Wouldn't worry about it. They are just starting a few November applications, they have not even got close to finishing Octobers filings from what I have seen on here. Until you get to the 200 day mark from NOA1, it's not worth thinking about. My NOA1 is December 20 something, so I am not even thinking about NOA2 until at least Mid July, early August. You might hear something by the end of June if things go well. At least based on approvals so far.

I was a nervous nelly the whole time I was waiting for my NOA 2. You can also look at "Processing Status" under Immigration Timelines and see how many cases are potential in front of you if they are also using this site. The petitions are usually reviewed in the order that the service center receives them. And the service centers are really back logged because there are so many marriage petitions going through right now. My case never updated online neither and then one day, I looked in my mail box and I had my NOA 2 in my mailbox and it took about 172 days

Come visit us in the November thread! They are processing November right now, so you'll probably get some type of update soon. It's perfectly normal to wait this long, just keep being patient!
