Green Card for May 2017 Filers

Just wondering how many who filed for AOS (from K1) in May 2017 already received their green card? It's been exactly a year for me since filing and still no word about my green card. I called USCIS to check and I was told that that's still within the normal waiting time and that there's nothing for me to do but wait... Just hoping I get it soon because my EAD/AP card combo expires in 4 months!

I'm on the same boat with you. Filed May 2017. Filed 3 service requests and got a help from congresswoman and still being told that it's still within a processing time.

Hello,

With the slow speed at which USCIS is processing applications I would start renewing the EAD/AP if I were you.

It is free of charge, you just have to include a copy of your I-485 receipt to show it is still pending, a copy of your current EAD/A,P 2 pictures and the form if I remember well. The instructions can give you all the details.

You can apply for renewal as early as 180 days before expiration so 120 days before is pretty good.

Good luck

Yeah, it sucks. Nothing we can do I guess. Have you renewed your EAD/AP card? Best to do that now in case the green card takes longer than expected. :)

Yeah, I did some research and figured that this would be the best thing to do. I just sent out documents today to renew my EAD/AP card, just in case I don't get my green card in time...
