I would be concerned that if the lying to the government to get food stamp benefits,  USCIS could be unsure if you are lying to them too.

If you make enough money to sponsor someone yourself why are you taking advantage if government assistance??

Thanks for your time. But the question is to someone who can tell me if they look into things like that.

How do you plan to support and pass the sponsorship stage if you have no income?

Isn't government assistance visible on the income tax statements? and Isn't that visible on background check ?

@payxibka it is so hard to stay on immigration subject, so I would say it is not a problem for NOA2, but it could be for futures process,  K1 does not end on NOA2

government assistance is not taxable so therefore nothing is reported.  As to a background check I don't know but I doubt it.

Again, the OP asked about NOA2.  They say they will qualify via assets and we also know that Manila is inconsistent regarding the I-134.  When it comes to AOS, that is the OPs issue on how they will do it.

Since it is not an immigration issue, It is not the responsibility of the "court of public opinion" to render a verdict on to the morality of what the OP has done

YMMV

They will and it will cause problems. You lied and it will bite you very hard in the future.

Why would you apply for food stamps if you have assets? Food stamps for those who have no resources to buy food.

The problem is not going to be that you have been given food stamps, but that you have defrauded the government and the taxpayer. USCIS probably won't do anything about it. But what's posted on a public forum may as well be posted on a billboard by the interstate. The whole world now knows of your fraud. You'd be surprised as to who reads these forums.

Can I erase this post

No, you can't. Why would you want to erase it? Don't try to hide your fraud, you've already committed it.

Yes. But I lied to get the food stamps and now I'm worried they will find out and refuse me. Do they look into this type of government assistance?

You have just confessed to committing fraud on a public website.

You should worry about your neighbors turning you in.
