Boston Office - Anybody else waiting for oath ceremony?

Looking at Boston Office past timelines as seen here, I thought that this office was pretty quick with setting oath ceremony dates, once interview was satisfactory.

Anybody here gotten a fairly fast oath notification?

Or, maybe the opposite, you are waiting to hear about a date, like I am?

There may have been a backlog, but there are a number of oath venues available, from what I see on the District Court calendar.

Did you try to contact the office where you had your interview to see any update? Did you check your status online to see if they already sent you the letter? Or if it got lost in the mail?

I am checking the USCIS site as well as the ELIS one.
No new activity there since the "approved" note

USCIS says "...in line of oath, wait to be contacted..." or such.
There is no indication that anything was sent, so the lost mail does not apply just yet..!

This is not abnormal, or critical, it is just that my earlier date lookups showed a faster process, here.

If this concerns you I would contact them via InfoPass. If not then you will have to wait and keep checking any update.  Hopefully you get good news soon. I know the waiting kills!

mcdull, what does your USCIS website case history show?

Mine did read
"You attended interview"
Two days or so after the interview:
" You are approved..." "wWait for oath date" or such

I think I would like to see that, if I were you.

Timeline

I had my interview on April 11(Lawrence) and was on the waiting list for the Oath ceremony for exactly 15 days(April 26).

My Oath ceremony date  is on June 6.

I was told by my interviewer that my Oath ceremony would be on a Wednesday and it sure is.

I have a feeling that people from a certain interview location are allotted a specific ceremony location.

In the Boston area, per the District Court schedule, they place a lot of folks -1000 or so, in Lowell Auditorium or Worcester, large venues, unlike smaller places like Faneuil hall with only 375, or the Moakley Court house with 100.

BTW, the schedule shows a total of 28,000 oaths for this fiscal year - I am sure the general population has no idea how many 9of us) get naturalized..!

Congrats areindj, have fun on the 6th!

Interview was 04 April.

You still haven't been given the Oath date?? :(

I had the interview 2 weeks after you, which means I shouldn't expect any info anytime soon.. :( I have an intl trip planned for the first two weeks of June and I have no clue what to do. I don't want to receive the letter during those 2 weeks and then miss the Oath..

When did you apply? And did you do it online?

For some reason there is not a lot of information on here from Boston applicants. It's hard to track when some of them received their Oath date.

Has your online status changed to Approved and in line for the Oath Ceremony?

Edit: Never mind, just read your next response.

30 January, paper filer

Long-time GC holder, unusual last name..:-)

Yep, not much on Boston. Maybe more will chime in?

EDIT: I just checked my status, still the same:

I filed online two weeks after you. Which only proves to show that there's really no big difference in processing time between the paper/online applications - a two week difference for the application submission and a two week difference for the interview date.

Lets hope the same happens for the Oath ceremony.

I have been able to find just a handful of Boston applicants on here. Six weeks is the longest I've seen for the Oath ceremony to be scheduled after the interview.

I also found that some people receive their Notification letter  10 days before their Oath ceremony. But, then, some, like @ariendj had it scheduled way in advance.

I also find that some get their Oath scheduled within days from their interview. Who knows what the process was...

Lawrence, MA office is definitely faster than the Boston one at the moment.

Were you approved on the spot?
