PD: May 14, 2018

NOA 2 date: March 14, 2019

Notified by co-sponsor that mail was received: March 19, 2019

Status online is unchanged up to now: "Case was received on May 14, 2018"

Congratulations Emgee. It's another May filer to get off the list of those still waiting for the NOA2. Now you can move ahead and focus on the next stage of the process with the NVC. Hopefully the NOA2 for PD - 25th May 2018 will come soon.

Yes, all you can do is wait for the case number. You could use the time to start gathering all the documents you will need to submit to NVC once you do get the case number. That way you'll be prepared and you can upload and submit everything right away. I used the wait between I-130 approval and case number to go see my husband for a couple of weeks and gather a new police and court record and birth certificate for him while in Morocco.

Huge tips there, Apple Bee.. So 2 questions here. (1) when are we required to pay the NVC fees and submit documents they require? Is it after we get our case number from NVC? (2) if yes, then how long does it take for NVC to receive the fees, documents, process and send case to our respective Embassies?

You can't pay the fees until you get the case number. You can pay them as soon as you do. When I got the case number in my email, I immediately logged on to CEAC (well it took about 5-7 mins to allow me to log in, I guess since the case was just freshly created at the NVC) and I paid the first fee (AOS) $120. You must pay with a US bank account (account # and routing number). CEAC doesn't let you pay for both at the same time so I paid that one first. Then paid the next one (IV) $325. I paid these on Wednesday 2/20 and by Friday 2/22 their statuses changed from "Processing" to "Paid". Then I was able to log in and start the DS-260. My husband and i worked on that all day Saturday and submitted it Saturday evening. Then it took me about a week and a half to upload all the required documents (Passport pages, birth certificates, marriage certificates, police and court record, translations, I-864, tax transcripts, W2s, paystubs, etc) and more supporting relationship evidence like boarding passes, chats, additional photos, etc. I was done uploading everything by 3/5/19. I submitted everything that afternoon. By 3/8/19, I got an email from NVC instructing me to log in to CEAC and check their messages. I logged in and saw all the documents had been accepted but two things were rejected. My birth certificate (which I technically didn't even need to submit since I'm the petitioner) was upside down, and I uploaded my 2018 1040 form instead of transcript ( I only just filed my taxes a few days earlier so I didn't and still don't yet have access to the 2018 transcript). So I fixed these two issues and resubmitted them that same day (3/8) and by the next Friday (actually early Saturday morning the 16th at 3:10 am), I got the " documentarily qualified " or "case complete" email from NVC. This Friday will make two weeks waiting for an interview date. The NVC sends your files to the embassy after your interview has been scheduled. They work with the embassy to schedule an interview date first. Sorry this was long, hope it helps.

Yes Apple Bee. The nuggets you dropped will not only help me but everyone else who's yet to start the NVC process. I will personally go over these again and ask more questions when the time comes. Thank you.

This is definitely information that is helpful for all of us! Thank you for sharing!

Status Online: Request for Additional Evidence was Mailed

Have any of you encountered this? We haven't received the mail yet so I'm curious what are the additional documents that we need. I'm worried!😥 Can anyone who also got an RFE share their experience?

I'm trying to say that the online status doesn't update on time of the NOA 2. The actual mail comes first. So, don't get discouraged when checking online :)

I got the same thing, with a PD of 14 May... still waiting for the letter to arrive.  I can't imagine what it is for, and why they couldn't have discovered whatever was missing in the last 300+ days.
