Think it was around a week after it was approved.  Maybe 8 days have to look give u a example my online status says case sent to state department middle of march . But really the nvc got the case in the beginning of march .

Wow that sounds like it was super fast ?

Doesn't it usually take up to 8 weeks for the NVC to receive it ? Or is that 8 weeks from the NOA2 to get a Case number ?

I have no idea we are  just going with the flow . I am learning something new every day while going threw this process . Checked with the place that did our i130 and says 3 to 6 weeks for the nvc to receive your case but everyone is different we where around a month before they received it. Got a email from them

Ah okay :) Well good luck with everything, and congrats on getting through what seems to be the biggest obstacle getting the i-130 approved.

We tried to file for case outside of normal processing times, and got the exact same response. We have PD 21st of may and still haven't heard anything yet about NOA2. I am hoping, since we both live in Denmark, that the NOA2 is on the way, since it takes a couple a weeks to reach us and that it's been approved, but they haven't updated the website.

But again it's just my dream scenario :)

What was your PD ?

In how many days after sending your inquiry, you gave an answer?

Got My Case Number today

Case Was Received by NVC on 19th Feb ..

Congratulations to you. So it took you 5weeks to get your Case Number. Someone told me it takes approximately 8weeks for NVC to get case numbers, after they receive your case file from USCIS. Is that for real?

It's been varying between 5-8 weeks. They received my case on January 3rd and it took 6 weeks 5 days to get a case number. The average seems to be about 7 weeks.

So let's say it's 8weeks between date of case receipt and date of case number. What are we expected to do in that time? Are we expected to wait another 2months, get the case number and then move to the 3rd stage of the process,  which is the visa interview at our Embassies?? I think an understanding of this, will give us an idea of the estimated timeline we expect the process to be completed and at what time in the year, we can be connected with our spouses.

Yes, all you can do is wait for the case number. You could use the time to start gathering all the documents you will need to submit to NVC once you do get the case number. That way you'll be prepared and you can upload and submit everything right away. I used the wait between I-130 approval and case number to go see my husband for a couple of weeks and gather a new police and court record and birth certificate for him while in Morocco.
