I'd like to know what the next step of our I-130 petition is, after the national Visa Center confirms that they have received our case file from NSC. What are we required to do from there? Anyone with answers?

After NVC receives your case, I hear it takes approximately 8 weeks for NVC to assign you a Case Number and Invoice ID Number. Once you have these numbers you can start paying fees and submitting several documents  on the  Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC).

Documents to be submitted are the Visa Application (DS-260), affidavit of support, other financial, civil documents and other supporting documents. You can find a step to step process and all the documentation needed at this stage on the travel.state.gov website.

Hope this helps :)

Thank you for your response, Nyhearts. Now, I have a clear understanding of what the next step is after I receive my NOA2 and NVC receives my case file. If I may ask, what stage of the i-130 process are you currently in? Are you one of us that's still waiting to receive NOA2 from NSC

I am an August filer, Nebraska ☹️. Expecting to hear something in June. I have a long way to go. I follow this thread to have an idea of how Nebraska is doing and from all indications they are moving at a snail’s pace. Wishing everyone the best. 🙏🏾

We're in the process as well.

My husband is a us citizen and he is filing for me. We have been married for 5 years now.

We are currently living in Finland and also filed from here.

05/14/2018 - i-130 sent to USCIS
05/23/2018 - recieved
05/29/2018 - accepted and routed to Nebraska Service Center

Now waiting for it to be approved.

Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻

We urge other May filers who are yet to hear from the NSC,  to update or communicate with the rest of us here, as soon as you receive your NOA2. One of us (blue_angel_29) has received the NOA2. So that's 1 down, 7 or 8 more of us to go.

I heard news from my co-sponsor yesterday that our petition have been approved! We used her US address so she's the one receiving the actual mail. The form (NOA 2) was dated March 14, 2019, exactly 10 months after Priority date May 14, 2018. I haven't received anything in my email. Hoping to hear about your progress soon fellow May filers! Will see you in the next line (NVC).

Good luck.  Our receipt date is May 18 2018 and we still haven't heard anything.  We submitted an Outside Normal Processing Time request and got a canned response that says if we haven't heard anything in 60 days to call back...  Nebraska is REALLY slow now.

Goodmorning May filers,

I just want to encourage everyone including myself, that's waiting for their Notice of Approval from the NSC. I want to urge us not be discouraged or be despaired. I also want us to know that with each day that passes by, we are getting closer to the day when we will all receive our NOA2 and ultimately be with our husbands/wives. Seems like we have 3 more people who are still waiting to hear from the NSC. So that makes us 8 now. So Hardiv, May16 and Emgee, kindly communicate with us here as soon as you receive your NOA2. Have a great day everyone.

Count me in as well.  May 18 2018 was our receipt date.  We filed an Outside Normal Processing Time request and got a canned response saying to call back if nothing is heard in 60 days.

Since the USCIS website says that Nebraska Service Center is working on "June 2, 2018" petitions, I decided to submit an inquiry. I completed the form on the website and once I submitted it I got a message (as well as an email) that said:

"Thank you for your request

USCIS will review and process the request.

Expect a reply by April 4, 2019."

I was then given a request ID number. I suppose that means it won't be until the 4th that I'll hear something on the inquiry. So basically 3 weeks I'll need to wait for a response on an inquiry. 😒

Allow me to show you what your response will look like.  I cut out all the important stuff but t his was our response to the inquiry...

Hi I am sorry to hear about all your trouble . Please read up on my topic created “ Almost In the 300 days club “ . Try to contact different avenues to get a response . The email you received to wait 60 days is an automatic response . I submitted two during this process and was approved one day later after the 2!lnd attempt response
