I haven't complained (or whine as you like to call it) yet about the fee's. I'm hardly concerned. I just find it a bit odd that the fact that others do not want to throw money at the government bothers you so.
Oh, it hardly bothers me. Don't confuse a friendly attempt at helping people understand the frailty of their logic with concern that they actually do so (:

Cheers!

PEOPLE: READ THE APPLICATION FORM INSTRUCTIONS!!!! They have a lot of good information in them! Most of the questions I see on VJ are clearly addressed by the form instructions. Give them a read!! If you are unable to understand the form instructions, I highly recommend hiring someone who does to help you with the process. Our process, from K-1 to Citizenship and U.S. Passport is completed. Good luck with your process.

I guess my confusion was in mistaking a friendly attempt at helping people as being typical internet messageboard jerkholery.

At any rate, I suppose we should be thanking you?

Cheers!

Yes, that would be it.

If you want, sure. I also accept cash and prizes as well.

Cheers!

Application to Register Permanent Residence

or Adjust Status

$ 325

$ 905

Does this mean if I don't send in our AOS before June 1st (NEXT MONTH!!!!) that we'll have to pay over $900 instead of $325??????? :unsure::blink::wacko:

OK nevermind... should have read the other pages before commenting. :)

How will Department of State fees be affected by this? I'm assuming they won't be...yet.

Thus perhaps the IR-1/CR-1 visa, which involved no AOS fee but the DS-230 etc, will become the least expensive option of all. Also as far as I can tell, the I-864 affidavit of support supplemental fee ($70) is NOT one of those that will be raised.

Guess they are encouraging this route over K1/K3

Thoughts?
