The article he posted stated that sanctuary cities have nearly doubled since Obama left office. My viewpoint is that isn’t because of Obama, it happened under Trump. The OP was trying to  making a point about Trump’s tougher immigration enforcement, but that led to more sanctuary cities.

Saying that Trump created the sanctuary cities is the same as saying Obama is responsible for all the states that passed pro second amendment legislation while he was president. The only difference would be that the states were complying with the law and the constitution and the sanctuary cities are in violation of the law. What that tells us is under Obama the people in these states felt they needed to take action to protect their rights and the rule of law. Under Trump the people in sanctuary cities felt they needed to violate the law to spite a president they don't like.
