Hi,

I have read some people here saying that they submitted tax returns and also copies of their latest paystubs with their I134's. I read through all of the instructions, etc. and it says that you only have to submit tax returns if you're self employeed and it doesn't state anywhere that you have to submit paystubs.

I have a letter from my bank stating the last year's total dep, date of opening and current balance along with a statement of employment from my employer. Other than that do I need to do these tax return copies and paystubs?

Thanks!

Pay stubs are a good idea if you have them. Self employed people generally don't. You have enough.

doodlebug,

I-134 is only one of the documents that may (or may not) be required by a consulate to determine if the visa applicant meets the public charge provisions of the law. Many consulates ask for 1 or 3 years of tax returns.

See DS-2000 (formerly OF-167), not I-134, to find out what evidence may be submitted to meet the public charge provisions of the law.

that way they cannot say no or that you need to send them

I am in the same situation and will only submit what is stated on the form.

bank statment and the verification from emplyee about sallary, employment

status and so on .

Why would I submit tax return when it's not stated ?? On the other forms

I have not witten additional info that they have not asked for.

01/11/07 I-129 Submitted

01/20/07 I-129 Reciept

01/27/07 Transferred to CSC

gsv64,

Read my previous post in this thread. Tax returns may not be required with the I-134, but they are often required in addition to the I-134.

See DS-2000 or OF-167 to find out what they may ask for.
