Sorry to hear that your marriage did not work out. I'm sure you made your decision wisely, and I wish you the best of luck for your (and your son's) new life back in Canada.

I'm a little bit jealous.... of the moving back to Canada part.... but, I can't live anywhere but with my wonderful husband.... and for right now.... that's here in the U.S. I am hoping we will be able to move back to Canada for retirement.

Could someone provide any information on what I should know such as bringing a 5 year old car into Canada, I'd be hauling a small U Haul trailer as well filled with personal effects, no furniture however. My son and I have the 10 year card, do I turn those in to U.S. Immigration somewhere? Anything else I should be aware of?

I can help you with your questions in regard to this....I am a canadian customs officer. How long have you been in the US? Are the goods you are bringing into Canada goods that you moved out of Canada? Was your car bought in the US or was it bought in Canada? Any of the goods you bought in the US - how long have you owned them? Are any over the value of $10,000 CAD? Feel free to PM?
