Hey all,

I got my letter for my green card interview which is scheduled for June 13th. I was expecting the part of it that says we need to bring proof of our marriage being real but it also asks for pretty much the entire i485 package we sent back in August. We have copies of most of it but not all, we can probably get it all organized again by the interview but I'm wondering how important it is? Are they really going to sift through all the stuff we already submitted to them again at the interview?

Also, it asks me to bring form I-693 for medical examination. I didn't need to submit that back in August as I was still within the time frame of my K1 medical exam back in London, are they really saying I need to get a civil surgeon to see me in the next month and fill out this form just for this interview?

The I-864 line says I need to bring it unless already submitted, thus, as I have submitted it in August, I wouldn't need to bring it to the interview?

It also says 'bring all documentation establishing your eligibility for Lawful Permanent Resident status'. What does this refer to? Is it just a sum up of everything it's asking for?

Lastly, it says 'bring an original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application'. Is this referring to the entire packet we sent in August?

We probably should've made an exact copy before sending the original packet away so this seems a bit overwhelming and I don't want to risk failing the interview for a dumb avoidable reason.

Thanks.

Thanks.

When my husband had his AOS interview, we did not bring most of that stuff with us as they have all of it in your file.  We brought all of our proof of bona fida relationship and a few copies of things that we had from the I29f and i485 applications.

You do not need anything from your medical as they have that as well.  We did bring a copy of the paper from the medical in London but our interviewer never asked for it.  Again, they should have all of your medical records in your file. :)

For the documentation establishing your eligibility for LPR you will need to bring your marriage certificate and passport.

The only original copies I would worry about bringing are birth certificate(s), marriage certificates, and passport.

Personally, I would concentrate more on the evidence of your relationship.  That is what they will be looking for.

Good luck!
