Mistake on passport k1 visa

This whole process has been difficult.  My fiance and I have managed to stay positive about it nonetheless.  She and her son received the passports with the k1 visa, but there is a mistake.  Her son is listed as 'F' instead of 'M'.  I know we should get this fixed  but does anyone know the process to get this done?  We have a flight booked for Tues., May 22.   I'm beside myself.  Thanks in advance.

Contact the embassy.

K1

29.11.2013 - NoA1

06.02.2014 - NoA2

01.04.2014 - Interview. 

AoS

03.2015 - AoS started.

09.2015 - Green Card received.  

RoC

24.07.2017 - NoA1.

01.08.2018 - RoC approved.
