My AOS case was approved mid March. Soon after, I failed to receive the card as the Post Office was unable to deliver it despite the fact that I've received multiple USCIS letters at the very same address.

I put in a service request to have it redelivered, and today after still having received nothing in the mail, I decided to call USCIS. I spoke to an officer who told me they were having troubles with many cards being undelivered and that it would take 45-90 days for me to receive my card due to these delays.

This puts me in a very difficult spot as my work authorization ended last week, and since I don't have my green card in person to provide to my employer, I am unable to continue working. The 180 day extension that I would have received does not apply because my AOS case has already been approved.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this, or have any advice for me in general? I'm at a loss at what to do.

I realize this is an old post. - you could avoid gaps in employment by making an infopass appointmnet. You are a green card holder even if you have not received your green card. You can get the I-551 stamp on your passport at the infopass appointment.
