Hello all, I have a question regarding avividat of support, my fiancés mother in the US is going to sponsor me since my fiancé does not make enough. Now I’m aware they both have to fill out the  form but my fiancé gets paid by check and not into her bank acc. How can I go about showing this as evidence at the interview? Thanks

Even if by check the employer should be able to provide copies of the statements for the pay checks. They deposit this into the bank regularly on pay days? Can get banking statements and show the deposits, it probably states info like who it was from and all.

She doesnt have a bank account at all?

I"m not sure they would like that but I dont know.

The employer can print off pay check stubs or statements if she doesnt have them.

She should have tax records.

That combined with a letter from her employer might be okay.

For London specific cases, in general, only the I-134 and supporting evidence should be presented from the co-sponsor (if you are using one). Supporting evidence can be an IRS tax transcript, letter from employer, and pay stubs. Pick one, they are pretty easy about it.

There have been on recent occasions, a few officers that also wished to see a form from the fiancé. Seeing the bank account is not needed. Does the fiancé not have pay stubs or pay taxes?

Keep in mind that once you get past the K1 process, and marry in the US, you will need to file for adjustment of status. In that instance, if you are still using a co-sponsor (then known as a joint sponsor), more strict requirements come into play. The financial form I-864 will be required from both the new spouse and the joint sponsor, along with their own financial evidence.

Just to clarify the co sponsor can submit tax transcript, letter from employer or pay stubs?

I was under the impression they needed all of these for evidence and not only 1 of the 3.

Thanks!

Thanks!

London is not like other consulates, in that they don't ever seem to require a person to prove something multiple ways. They like transcripts and employer letters especially. We took everything during our experience, and they really only wanted the transcript. My husband offered the employer letter.. they took it but didn't really much look at it.

If you want to be especially prepared take everything, but don't expect that they will want to see all of it.
