If the admins will allow it, absolutely!

And me neither. Last I heard a couple of weeks ago it was 4 appointments on Wednesdays only and they were booking the last three Wednesdays in July.

I'll post as soon as I know. Stay tuned.

Same. Wondering if it's still the same or if they've moved on to August. We're right behind you in the process, just got "READY" status at MTL yesterday, so i've been keeping an eye out for your posts and process, so thanks for any updates you can provide!

I will post here for sure. I just followed you. Feel free to follow me back.

Hopefully they'll send you P3 faster than me. Getting teeth pulled without drugs is more fun than that wait.

Tips:

The P3 from Mar 2016 that you can find online is the current and correct one that they will send you the link to so you can prepare right now.

1) Get ready to press send on that DS160 and print and scan that confirmation page. I did not submit it until I received P3 as at the end you are declaring that they have sent you the IMBRA pamphlet in P3. They actually don't send you a paper copy of the pamphlet but just tell you to go to the link to read it so the declaration at the end of the DS160 is kind of forcing you to lie by signing it because they have actually not "sent" you a copy of the IMBRA pamphlet and they won't.

2) Have a COLOUR (I will always spell it our way, lol) scan of your passport bio page saved.

3) Get the P3 checklist printed (from the P3 online) and filled out (I put N/A for the items that didn't apply to me to be safe). I just left the date blank and dated it the second I got the okay to send the packet, again, just to be safe and then scanned it.

Yeah, we had all of that ready, so we went ahead and emailed it off today even though we're expecting to get the "dont call us, we'll call you" email back from them. Will keep you posted!

Hey! When you get P4, will you update here with interview dates still available in MTL? Haven't seen a report of dates in awhile! Thanks sooo much an congrats!!

Okay, @sumbunny and other Canadian Bene's (May group is really small and I know there are  a few of you in here). This really should go in a Montreal/Canadian forum but because you asked, I'll provide an update (Admin, feel free to move if you feel it should be elsewhere and they can follow)...

Received the P4 email today. Finally got a chance to sit down to register on the IV site after work.

Just as suspected, currently, there are no appointments available in Montreal. I'll try again in the morning and, of course, will update when I do get through and let y'all know how far ahead they are booking to.

Again, admin please move if you feel necessary.

@sumbunny @K1visaHopeful If I remember correctly, we didn't provide Beneficiary's email address in I-29F. Then how does the US Consulate of Montreal send P3 through email?

I have been told that:

1) You should have filled out a G1145 eNotice of action for BOTH the petitioner AND the beneficiary when you sent in the I129F package. Great news right?!? Considering the instructions do not tell you that nor is it EVER discussed here, lol.  If you didn't do that then:

2) Once the NVC gets your case you can either email the NVC through the inquiry form on their site with your beneficiary's email address or you can give it to them when you call them.

Your question is not new and it makes my blood boil that this IMPORTANT info is not disclosed by USCIS/NVC or talked about a lot on VJ.

Question: When you say there is no dates available at all, do you mean for June or overall there is no dates available for the Montreal Consulate?

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. I did try to search this question in this forum before raising it here but no luck. My case has already transited to Montreal that I'm not sure whether I can still take step 2 calling NVC to inform petitioner's email address. sigh...

Yep! It’s gonna sound crazy but we got our NVC notice on the 30th, and the embassy got our petition the week after. They work pretty quick. We are doing the DS 160 now. Then we will get an interview date. You should get yours soon. Maybe next week??

I searched and searched and asked and asked to no avail also.

If it is any consolation, the P3 email from Montreal and the hard copy of the P3 arrived at my house on the same day. Pretty sure MTL's protocol is for it to end up that way to prevent ppl from force feeding the P3 to them without them telling you to do so now. (If you are to read the signature declaration of the DS160 it states that you have to declare that you have received the IMBRA Pamphlet which is sent in the P3 so if you submit it before you receive P3 you are technically lying when you sign it if you do so before receiving P3 from them. It is all a well timed plan to keep everybody in line waiting their turn at MTL).

I'd just wait for the P3 to arrive in the Bene's snail mail box. I'm sure it will arrive at the same time it would have had they had the Bene's email address.

June?!?! There probably haven't been any June dates since April. Last I heard about three weeks ago (so end of May) they had opened the last three Wednesdays in July.

MTL is a SLOW embassy as far as I have read.

My best bet is count on having to take an interview appointment AT LEAST a month in advance once you get P4. Ie. My P4 came yesterday but it's highly unlikely I'll get an interview in Aug and have to take one for Sept.

I honestly do not think this is the case as the DS-160 questions and signature confirmation are the same for EVERYONE who applies regardless of embassy. I simply think it's a standard checkbox to tick on every K1 visa DS-160 application. Even if you look through the sample they provide on travel.state.gov, it has the same page with "displays for all k1 visa applicants" above it. I don't think it has anything to do with people "waiting their turn at MTL" ... just my two cents <3

I agree. I sent my P3 twice before they asked me to and they responded to the second one with P4. No problems!
