The last update on our I-485 was ‘USCIS received your response’ back in August, since then no case updates online but a tier 2 officer did tell me my status has been ready to be scheduled for an interview since September.

Wow!  September is long time ago. It seems that a lot more people are getting interviews. Maybe that’s why is taking longer for all of us. Last year, many people were getting their green cards within around 8 months with no interviews. We will be glad to finally hear something!

How are you in a limbo more than anyone else here?

I’m not. Nor did I say I was. Like I said a few posts above, immigration, and AOS especially, is a very personal thing. We all go through our own ups and downs, have things that mean more to us than others and so forth. So when someone makes a post saying they don’t understand how I can complain etc, I’m naturally going to respond.

Yeah we had an Infopass last week - the woman I got was pretty helpful. She said my case was at the NBC, had contacted Philadelphia for an interview date.

My problem though is that USCIS are flat out denying that any 2018 filers are getting interviews. As long as they keep denying that, and it keeps happening, my case will go nowhere. There hasn't been a 2017 filer scheduled for an interview in Philadelphia for months according to VJ timelines, but there have been 6 or 7 from 2018 alone.

Tried the first two - awaiting the Ombudsman to get back to me.

My case is also at NBC. NBC had contacted my local office 1.5 months ago for an interview date and is waiting for my local office's response.

Yeah the NBC contacted our local office on March 16, so roughly around the same time as you. Hopefully we both hear something soon!

I filed N400 (I know it's different than your case) but my case is also handled by Philly's office.

I started this in July 2017, and all in all - interview was in April 24th 2018 - Philly's office is super behind. That said, I have a super awesome IO agent who somehow managed to update me on my case status by calling my number 3x now - (long story short) ---

But i think Philly's office is just extremely slow - but there're good people in that building! Good luck to you!!!

Everyone has a right to be frustrated by their own specific experience, regardless of others' experiences, and therefore no one has the right to tell someone they shouldn't feel frustrated. However. I think it's also wise to remember that immigration is not a customer retention based service. They aren't interested in keeping us happy. They could care less. Because at the end of the day, what are we going to do about it? Take our business elsewhere? There is no elsewhere. If we want the end result, we have to deal with the process. And the process is not always pretty. Sometimes...yeah. It unfortunately comes down to getting the short stick and winding up on the desk of someone who is behind, or on vacation, or just a massive scatter brain. So to answer the initial question...no, there isn't much else anyone can do. Once you exhaust the options like Infopass and calling congressmen.. all you can do is wait. The only other thing any of us here can do is just vent amongst one another and be emotional supports when needed. NOT call one another dramatic for having an emotional flare up, because they happen.

As frustrating as it can be for some (including myself) to watch others borderline emotional riots over their waiting period, while they are together with their partners, and some of us are still waiting to BE with our partners... I get it. I will probably be frustrated too whenever we finally reach that milestone. Being together or not, we're all in this for the final end result, which is citizenship for our partners. But we all knew when we embarked on this journey that it would be a long one. Somehow, getting part of the way through it makes it feel longer than it did in the beginning. But there WILL be an ending. We just have to hang in there and remember what we're doing it for.

Håll ut, y'all.

Another post about this topic so I apologize in advance, but is there anything we can do here - there must be SOMETHING we can, all of us who have been waiting almost a year, in some cases over a year, for Adjustment of Status when filers from 2018 are getting their cases turned around in less than 100 days. I haven't seen very many people from 2017 get an interview over the past month however dozens from 2018 have.

There has to be something we can do here.

Go to this site:

https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

Create a new account and add your case #'s. I found out that this site has more info than the old case status checker. I was surprised to see that for my AOS I was always being told that they received my RFE and that was that. The new site shows that my case was waiting for interview slot since June 2017 (my pd is April 10 2017) and finally booked for interview next week. So 13 months and 1 week for me.

So I spoke with a Tier 2 officer this morning and she said that I am still within normal processing time (9 - 19) months. She said they are waiting for us to be scheduled for an interview.  I am worried a lot of employers are refusing to hire me because they prefer a Green Card to my EAD.  Well, I guess we just have to keep waiting. Does anyone see the status in the image I have attached as their status?

I think you'll be hearing something pretty soon :)

Usually, from other posts on this forum, that error happens right before you get an update!

But it has been this way for close to a month. I hope we hear something soon.

Oh, hmm - I'm not sure then.

The only thing I can think of is maybe they're making that case checker redundant with their updated case tracking section?

What's your latest status on the new tracker?
