Hi! I just finished my medical exam today and I was referred for a personal evaluation and it was Scheduled on May 29, 2018.. Unfortunately, my interview appointment is going to take a hit because it’s scheduled May 15. I was in a car accident before and was charged for Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Damage to Property and it was dismissed. However, for that reason, the doctor told me she would be requiring me to do a personal evaluation as it is a requirement of US Embassy for people with cases filed against them.

What is the difference between Psych and Personal Eval?

Does is really take weeks to get a schedule?

How do I know that I don’t need to undergo Sputum exams?

I tried calling all the SLEC NUMBERS but none of them as in none of them are pickin up. Are there other numbers I can call besides the ones posted on the website?

Please help because I’ve had enough delays already because of that stupid case :( Thank you!!!

Country-specific thread is moved from the CR-1 Process forum to the Philippines regional forum.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Don't know the difference between the two.

You take the appt given to you  .. it is that simple.     Such is life.

You will have to wait to find out on SPUTUM.  After the evaluation and your return to SLEC if they instruct you to complete vaccinations .. you are good.

Just need to be patient ..

You will need to cancel your current appt and reschedule your interview date.

Scheduling the Interview:
By Calling (632) 976-8500, (632) 976-8501 or (632) 976-8502.
This service is open Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., except on Philippine and U.S. holidays. Callers may speak with an English-, Tagalog-, Ilocano-, or Cebuano-speaking operator.
Applicants, agents or petitioners calling from the United States may also use this service by calling (703) 520-2235.

What I have read on other article about Psych test related to annulment so I don't know the difference for sure. My wife will have to bring the Court Decision, Certificate of Finality and PSA annotation of marriage contract to St. Luke for her medical exam. I could not believe why is this have to happen like that... Just like you mentioned with the car accident. Hard to believe.....

Question?

How did they know you were charged with "Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Damage to Property"

During my Physical Exam, the doctor asked me if I was ever arrested, committed a crime or charged. So I answered truthfully and was required to do the mental evaluation. Accdg to her, it's a USEM requirement to undergo such eval for people who where charged before. Doesn't matter if it was dismissed or not.

Yes. I was told to bring the certification of dismissal from the Court Clerk. Definitely didn't see that one coming!

Thanks for the insight. I was finally able to get a hold of someone at SLEC and was told that the schedule is the only one that's available. Fortunately, I passed all the medical tests/procedure which is a total relief since I am a Kidney Transplant recipient and I had a lot of complications  for undergoing dialysis and surgeries before. No need for SPUTUM test. I won't be having vaccines but my results won't be released until after the PE.

Guess what? Psych evaluation is also for the annulment who got annulled before via the court. That is nuts!

Not necessarily true.  Pysch evaluations are also for a variety of reasons such as drug abuse, self-harm, victims of trauma, annulments, and apparently prior criminal behavior.  These are just the ones mentioned here on this forum, so there may be more.

Finally done.

NEVER volunteer information that is not asked for.  This is a perfect example why.

Most annulments in the Philippines are due to "psychological incapacity".  They will always do a psych on anyone accused of that.  They also look for self abuse scars.  My wife did her medical and her annulment was due to her ex husband's psychological incapacity so they never asked her anything.  She was a quick two days and done.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.
