Has anyone experienced this?

Back story:

I am the beneficiary, I went to my interview and everything was going well. Then, they asked for his 2017 Income Tax Return and I said that he has not finished his taxes and he was granted an extension until October 2018.

They said ok and that I should come back and bring back a copy of that extension. They gave me the white slip. They said that everything seems ok and I should just give them an update of his 2017 taxes then they'll figure out the next step from there.

So, the same day, I dropped off the copy of the approval of extension. They also asked for my passport. (Which now I know doesn't really mean that I've been approved. But yes, I'm still hoping it's a good sign.)

I checked our case status and now it says "Administrative Processing". Sigh. I have also given  a copy of my fiance's income (Earnings for February and March) and VA Disability Benefit before my interview.

Anyway, help guys! Will the copy of the approval of extension to file his taxes be enough? Has anyone experienced this?

I can't say as far as the extension if that will work or not, I would think it would if they asked for it, but I can say don't let Administrative Processing get you down. My fiancees case was put from ready to AP the day after her interview and the next day it changed to issued. Everyone goes into AP, processing the visa and paperwork is as much AP as being put on hold for more info is. Fingers crossed for you!!

Thank you very much. Still waiting for it to change to "Issued". It's been more than a week and when I e-mailed the embassy, they just said that they will contact me once my case is finished. Sigh. This whole process is teaching me to be patient. :) I hope I get my visa soon.

Congrats btw. :)
