Packet 3 & 4

I'm really confused regarding packets 3 & 4.

in some places i'm reading that an interview can't and shouldn't be scheduled without first receiving packet 3 and 4, and in other places i'm reading that they aren't anything to worry about.

CEAC had marked our case as "ready" this morning, and i went ahead and scheduled my interview [but haven't gotten packets 3 & 4 yet]

my consulate is in London, UK.

any help would be greatly appreciated ^_^

Every consulate has their own rules once your case leave the USCIS. The Brit will get a letter from London telling you to find your instructions on their website. Follow London's rules.

Start reading every link and FAQ here if you want to get it right https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/applying-for-the-visa/

That is the only mail that will come from the embassy. Packet 4 is a myth.

You may be getting out of order if you don't have your ducks in a row first for things to bring to the medical (police certificate(s), letter from London, immunizations completed, health summary from your GP).

Medicals have been slow to get to the right place since the move into the new embassy in mid January. I would try to have 10 days between medical and interview. You still will be allowed to interview,  but without the medical report there, you end up having to wait and worry for your visa to be approved and sent to you.

There's a of people like this one today whose medical wasn't there at his interview. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/671320-administrative-processing/

Rushing to get an interview without regard to everything that should be in place first can end up biting you later, so read the London instructions carefully and the medical clinic's web page.

I’ve got everything I need, I had it all a few weeks before the NVC received our case.

ive got police records, patient summary, vaccination history, passport photos, everything listed on the website so there’s no worry there.

i also have 4 weeks between medical exam and interview so all is good there too

Medical May 11

Interview scheduled for June 7
