Another stupid decision by our stupid President.

He's now effectively given Iran the green light to start up their nuclear program. He's hasn't made this decision for the good of the country he's made it for himself. He's got to keep throwing red meat at his rabid base. Awful decision.

So Britain, France, Germany, Japan, Russia and majority of Americans etc etc are all wrong but Donnie is right?

I don't think it does much really. Iran is not going to risk military intervention over nuclear weapons. They will keep doing what they are doing with their nuclear program but we won't see any nukes. If the rest of the world is still going to honor the agreement, sanctions by the US are not a major issue either. Relations with Iran have not improved as was initially hoped. I would have like to seen them work harder at a renegotiation that would be supported by all parties but it didn't look like that was going to happen either.

This is a typical Trump move though, IMO. Much more pomp than circumstance.

What people fail to realize is there's alot more to Iranian activities around the globe than just trying to get nukes(see recent threads). I think until there's a truly comprehensive agreement that tackles ALL of the issues Iran is involved in, it's not worth the paper it's written on. If I could upvote this decision I would.

You do realize that the countries you mentioned only wanted the potential market open with the veil of an agreement that was meaningless from the start.

While of course I hope for a good outcome in the end, I fear that at least in the short term this only serves to make the world less safe. Particularly the Middle East.

I also think this hurts our overall reputation for deal making. Why would North Korea want to enter into a deal if they know we can just pull out whenever we feel like it?

What evidence do you have of that?

Netanyahu showed evidence that they kept documents. That doesn't mean they never stopped the program. They just saved their papers.

We just proved they had good reason not to trust us and save the documents. We aren't reliable and can't be trusted to stick to a deal.

Isn't this a bit like celebrating a  touchdown when the runner is at the 20 yard line. I sincerely hope there's not a fumble at the 2. I'm not sure we have seen any long term changes in NK or Iran yet. You must have a lot of faith in Kim Jong-Un.

More proof in the last 24 hours why there's a whole lot more to tackle with Iran than a nuclear deal:

Unfortunately I don't think the nuclear deal said we can change our minds if we decided there was "more to tackle".

The only people we know with 100% certainty that broke the nuclear deal is the USA.
