For K1 Visa

I'm going to send my I-129F form. Shortly after sending the form, I want to obtain the letters of employment required for I-134.

But if the letters of employment are dated before I get the I-129F approval, will they still be valid? Or will Uscis ask for more recent proof of income?

The reason I'm asking is because I want to start a new job while waiting for the I-129F approval.

What country?  Knowing the consulate will always help as these things are not treated the same from place to place.

FYI, letters of employment are NOT required for the I-134 but simply an example of the different types of evidence you can provide

YMMV

I'm in US and my fiance will be coming from Philippines.

Ok thanks. Yeah I don't have any assets. The only qualifying thing I have is my income which is around 34k a year. If I start this new job however it will go down to around 25-30k. Thats why Im a little affraid. Don't want to show instability but also don't want to wait around for 7 months for an approval before starting this new career.

Manila is a little inconsistent but many times they don't even ask for any financial documents.  Doesn't mean you don't need to be prepared.  At $30K (for a family of 2) you are still in the green as to financial ability

You can scan and email your info as well.  It does NOT need to be originals

You will find the correct answers as it relates to Manila in the Philippines regional forum.  General forum may give you general answers but not understanding the nuances of Manila

It was also recently updated that the Philippines will indeed start being more consistent in reviewing affidavits of support.

Ours was not looked at; but again also this could be because my employment history for over 5 years was with same oil company. That probably makes them feel comfortable where as someone with 4-5 part time jobs may make them want proof. Just a thought.

But it was put out recently the embassy will be looking into support documents more consistently so always always go in fully prepared. I wouldn't "pre-date' anything or whatever Whenevr you get the NVC case lettewr just fill out the form, sign it, date it, and for us, I sent Fedex, 3 days, Houston to Manila with all documentation (saved him from having to print stuff out). Cost me $90. Wasn't too bad for 3 day guaranteed.

08/15/2014 : Met Online

06/30/2016 : I-129F Packet Sent

11/08/2016 : Interview - APPROVED!

11/23/2016 : POE - Dallas, Texas

From sending of I-129F petiton to POE - 146 days.

02/03/2017 - Married

02/24/2017 - AOS packet sent

06/01/2017 - EAD/AP Combo Card Received in mail

12/06/2017 - I-485 Approved

12/14/2017 - Green Card Received in mail - No Interview
