The petitioner is disabled? You don't need to prove that for the interview...unless you are talking about using a supplemental disability income for the I-134.

If you are going through the visa process and will be interviewing in Casablanca, Morocco, join us over at the

What is her household size? If it will be just you and her, 24k per year should meet the I-134 and I-864 requirements.

It's a user that has been on this site for a decent period of time and provided support in other questions. I'm skeptical to believe any such accusations, but if there is reason to suspect it, then click the "Report" button next to the message. Otherwise, I suggest not engaging in unsubstantiated/unverifiable claims in this forum.

For the record, I messaged the OP letting him know that Casablanca approves very few K1s - this is what inspired him to infer I was scamming him.  I was only trying to help him realize the difficulty of the Moroccan consulate prior to his interview.

Evidently he does not believe me, which is fine - everyone is entitled to their own beliefs.

@adil-rafa or many others below on this site can confirm the same, but I am not sure he will listen to them either so good luck to the OP and his fiance on their visa process.

"That user" was invaluable to me during my K1 journey (my husband is also from a MENA country). I am not sure I would have made it to this point  (my Algerian husband sitting next to me now...waiting for AOS) without "that user". You should listen to @EandH0904 .

First, I want to say I wish everyone success in their visa applications, whatever category it may be.  I stay away from discouraging anyone from going the K-1 route just because of the lower number of approvals in MENA consulates.

Just because MENA countries historically don't approve that many K-1 visas compared to say, Europe or Canada, it doesn't mean that those of us going for K-1s aren't aware of it or are not 'listening' to other's 'warnings' about it.

K-1s do in fact, get approved in these difficult consulates, and no matter how low the numbers may be - people are getting approved.  Some beneficiaries might take being 'warned' or 'advised' of these low numbers at their home consulate as a negative way of discouraging them from even trying what may be the best option for them.

Best wishes for everyone....

Yes. You are correct. K1 visas from these countries do get approved.

And I also noticed your fiance is Algerian. You should also know that Algiers only has 4  k1 visa interviews a month (in fact, I was there at my fiance's interview and heard the k1 at the next window get denied) The fact of the matter is.....you have to be prepared and ready....there are many of us who have gone through MENA consulates that can help with the process. Sugar coating it and saying "everything will be fine" ISN'T GOING TO WORK.

@EandH0904 @RJandHamid @adil-rafa and I are not just here to whistle Dixie....we are here to help....and I haven't seen any of these people sugar coat or placate...nor have I seen any of them be mean or disrespectful..

This guy should listen to their advice  (as should anyone going through a difficult consulate).
