Hi @Greenbaum! Is it true that the eligibility letter is needed in USEM K1 visa interview? I heard that it takes ages to receive this letter. Is it a mandatory requirement?

Currently no. BUT there has been a lot of problems with people scheduling their interview before the status is set to "Ready" from USEM. So you can still do everything but scheduling the interview needs to wait till the status shows ready then schedule our appointment. Or if you want to schedule when the file is in transit I recommend you schedule at least 4-5 weeks out.

I think someone did an analysis a few months ago and something like 40% of cases go approved within a week of the estimate. Which isn't bad, but is enough to remind you that it's just an estimate.

/Still was happy mine moved before Thanksgiving

Thanks! I hope I wont have a problem. Also, I went to Hong Kong last 2016 then went to Macau for 3 hours. I can't remember if they stamp my passport but I cant see anything there. Do I need to declare it on the DS-160? Or count Macau among the places I've been to

The only requirement is that you get police certificates from any country you have LIVED for more then 6 months from 16 years old. Maybe I am missing what you are referencing.

@Greenbaum @Jorgedig I went to Macau before for a couple of hours only when I was in HK for vacation. I cant remember if they did not stamp my passport or the stamp was just not that visible in the passport. I need to declare countries I have been to in ds-160 that's why I am wondering if I need to count in Macau or not. I dont wanna look like I am lieing on my ds-160, I just want to make sure. Thanks for the help :)

Does it ask about countries you have travelled to?  If yes, then include it.

Question, what did you use as proof of continued relationship?

Anastasia put together pictures and travel info from our visit after we filed and some from our earlier visits that are mostly redundant with what I sent with the petition, a selection of chat and video call logs, and some other things. I think she's got more than she needs, but as long as she's comfortable going into the interview, I'm fine.
