I wonder what reason made the USCIS to speed the approval process at CSC?

It is quite particular to see many applications submitted during the last week of may and even june getting approvals this week.

I hope this situation will be replicated by NVC and the embassies...

Yes! I hope so too.... I have been told that NVC dictates the date of the interview at the embassy

After you receive your case number you will no longer have any interaction with NVC. all further correspondence and scheduling of appointments is either by the applicant or by the embassy. I think you've read some bad information.

Hi Greenbaum

Someone in another group specific for colombian fillers interacted with a person from the american embassy in Colombia.

They told this person that most of the interview dates are set by NVC - eventhough we can select two dates in the website provided by the embasy.

Someone was asking whether it was possible to change his /her dates or not.

It was not possible.

That is the source of information I have.

Heard that too. So does it mean that if it’s set by the embassy already (as shown in the NVC letter) no need to have an appointment of your own or should we call the embassy to double check if we really have an appointment to be sure?

I think they are wanting to get as many cases cleared our before the holidays. Will be nice if NVC speeds through them as well.

if your sponsor or co sponsor has sponsored other immigrants and they are still responsible for them under the i864, then yes. Their income, (regardless of whether or not any of those people are working) will have to be above 125% of the federal poverty level for that number of dependents

What is a "ww"? One or the other, 1040 or tax transcript is needed. To be truthfully honest the Embassy much prefers the transcript as it leads them straight to the answer without having to scavenge through a 1040. Be careful of what you recommend until such time as you have experienced it or you are quoting from a reputable source. Just an opinion.

Typo, we meant to say W2. Also, I work with the Feds and as an employee, we do prefer the tax transcripts. As @debbiedoo said it shows that it is filed as opposed to just the tax return. No experience needed as the high fraid areas, such as Jamaica, it us best to have both and be over prepared was my suggestion. I know, @Greenbaum you have a wealth of information and I for one am grateful to have your knowledge & experience but being over prepared is/was my suggestion...and it doesnt cost anything now and can save delay time.

That’s what I thought but she ask her agency they say it’s a different case

I cannot find information that will justify my belief coz she trust her agency when they say she don’t need a 2nd job to meet the financial requirement :(

Hi All,

I received the hard copy of my RFE and it was for acknowledgment of criminal record. I went to the court and received my certificate of disposition for multiple cases. My two questions are, should i send in a cover letter explaining what each copy is? and Should I put my case number on each disposition?

it doesnt matter what any agency or lawyer says. what matters is that she has the financial resources, as according to the government, to support ANYONE she is financially liable for under the 864 - whether its 2 people or 10 and regardless of whether or not they are working. that means she has to make (and be able to prove) 125% of federal poverty guidelines.
