Larry I feel your pain and this is one time that's it's NOT just lip or pen service. I'm right there with you only I have not called in lieu of letting this process run it's course. I'll wait until a later date to try to communicate with USCIS. They seem to give the same answers most of the time so I want to avoid and added undue stress. It is very unnerving to see other folks that filed weeks past you get approved. It's easy for people looking from outside (or who have already gotten) their approvals to analyze you and say chill out get a hobby do this or that, but we meaning people who are, or who have been in our situation we truly know the frustrations. All I can offer is stay strong in your relationship, make some alternate plans should the unforeseen happen ( always have a plan B).

I truly feel you as testament to my time line it's still early yet let's you and I step back take a deep breath and try to take a productive step forward. I feel you buddy!!!!!!!!

Always,

Sarge

Good morning stage, you are absolutely correct after being told I have nothing derogatory, no RFE and watching other past me get approved, what would anyone think? Yes there are members here that can tell you to chill etc but your right they are already approved and so easy to say. The fact is if there was something they needed I could say to my self ok my timeline will be extended a bit but they don’t and these are their words while watching others approved...please don’t mistake that for me being upset I’m happy my VJ buds are approved and there are some really good people and not everyone a fraud or trying to play the system.

Sarge your a good man it would actually be nice to stay in contact with you. I pray you get approved soon and your advice is well received. I’m going to try and stay off here to get away from this a bit but I definitely would like to see you  and Dave&anatasia

Thanks

Larry

Certainly the wait is frustrating.  My fiancee' comes from a very modest background and many of the things that Americans consider everyday are so amazingly foreign to her.  How does a car work? How do you use an oven? Does snow hurt when it lands on you?

The enthusiasm of all the good things ahead certainly amplifies the frustration of watching NOA2s of dates on either side of ours get approved and yet no updates on our case. I can only think that the officials are the utmost professionals and doing the right thing on each petition that they review.  I wouldn't want anything less from someone that has such responsibilities and impact on people's lives.

We are hoping for a flight on Christmas Eve.  There are quite a few steps to take as soon as we get the NOA2 as she has to get police clearances from several countries and these takes weeks to complete and deliver to the consulate. The timing gets tighter for every day that there is no news.

Our story is very simple as we met in person first and started dating after. I am lucky that I see her everyday in-person.   The other night we watched "National Treasure 2" - it was really cute to sort through all the fact/fiction in that movie. Yes, Mount Rushmore is real. No, there is no gold city inside it.  We also played some word games and discussed the meaning of words that she had never been exposed to previously.

Just find ways to snooze the frustrations of waiting.... Best of luck to all!

Yeah. I've been telling people to remain calm when their case is in normal processing times since not long after I filed. That wanting to know is fine, but that you weren't the very first on your date, or that USCIS is taking five months or so to get to the first person on your date does not mean there's some hidden problem with your case or that USCIS or the federal government has something personal against you or your fiancé(e).

But it's definitely true (at least for me) that seeing people whose cases are near yours get approved makes you a bit anxious about your own; I've gone from checking in once a week or so just in case we got super-lucky to once a day and checking the mail every day when the first May approvals showed up to twice a day on both sites when the first after May 20th did. Not really worried, just want something to happen.

Also... this morning's status check: 99/302 I-129F/CSC May filer timelines have NOA2, with 5 unresolved RFEs (counting one five days after NOA1 as a data entry error).

i get the checking online/ apps more often. thats fine. but calling is premature at this point.

i dont even consider myself a patient person and im like ' meh. itll happen when it happens. nothing i can do to hurry any of this along'.

when i dont have control over something, i try not to worry about it. all it would do is give me a migraine and stress me out and i have enough other ####### going on in my life that causes both of those. no need to add to it lolololol

She is luck to have met you. You seem like a great upstanding guy(?). My wife is from the Philippines, a lady who is a little more experienced then some, but just the same I enjoyed exposing her to new things here in USA. The look on her face was always priceless. It was like watching a child unwrap a Christmas gift that they always wanted. Priceless.

Should request ww from your employer to go along with tax transcript. Lots of folks cannot read the transcript so I would take both.

What is a "ww"? One or the other, 1040 or tax transcript is needed. To be truthfully honest the Embassy much prefers the transcript as it leads them straight to the answer without having to scavenge through a 1040. Be careful of what you recommend until such time as you have experienced it or you are quoting from a reputable source. Just an opinion.

If I were to add that then I'd get antsy and need to add more then I would answer someone's question and my entire answer and profile would take up a whole page of the thread. :jest: I have turned off all "signatures" as they get messy with everyone putting a picture in there that covers half a page and other junk. Even mine is turned off so I don't see it.

I agree with you and Sarge.  I have tried not to log onto VJ as much recently.  It was super exciting seeing people in April getting approved and knowing we were on deck.  When you start seeing people approved two weeks after your application, it is much less exciting.  Regardless, I am happy for everyone getting approved and will be overjoyed when we get moved to the next stage.

Thanks @Greenbaum! Yes... guy here.😊

My fiancee' is originally from Bohol, PHL, but spent the past few years as an OFW in Kuwait.  Recently I've taken up teaching her about American football - she loves saying "Touchdown, Alabama!" every Saturday... even for a day or 2 after the game is over and a highlight clip is on. 🤣

If we make our timeline for Christmas Eve, then we are planning to spend New Years in "over the top" Las Vegas.... really looking forward to more of those priceless moments!

Anastasia says she'll watch the "Orange team" with me when she gets here and I can try and explain the game better. Also insists I have more faith in my team when I don't think we can beat Clemson. She was right about that once . Day after I got home from our first meeting.
