Lol... I still didn't get why u asked me to update my data as my country and my consulate/embassy data is already present and up-to-date. I would love to know if you noticed any specific thing in my profile that compelled you to suggest me about the embassy thing. You are quite active, I am sure you must have noticed something important. :) Thanks.

I am not sure why you are not understanding the concept of completing your profile to identify your country to us but maybe pictures will help you understand. Of course you won't have a Philippines flag when you are finish it will show your country's flag.

Hi guys!

It seems that most may approvals/rfes so far came from california service. Does anybody know how it works? How do they choose which case to transfer to california and which to leave in texas?

Nearly all K1s are sent to california. texas basically distributes them and processes only a few.

i 485, 130, EAD and AP

04/09/2019    NOA1 received/check cashed i 485 and 130 (direct adjustment)

11/7/2019      Interview- Norfolk

11/10/2019    APPROVED (notification rec'd 11/10, approval dated 11/8)

DONE FOR TWO YEARS!!! ;)

Filed everything ourselves with no RFE's or delays.

CR1 for Child under 21 (20 at time of filing)- Filed by LPR Spouse for his son

4/4/20     Mailed packet

4/12/20   NOA1 rec'd

10/14/21 (havent heard anything... when do i start to get worried?)

9/15/22 APPROVED! Now to wait for NVC and interview....

@Greenbaum I followed the path that you provided regarding filling "Immigration info". It asks to update the name of the country where you are immigrating from.

What if I am living in a different country where I am just a temporary resident due to my work and that's not my native country but I have chosen the US consulate/embassy in that country as the place where I would want to be interviewed as it would be easy for me to interview there since I am residing there.

In such a case, as a beneficiary, what country shud I use under the question "Immigrating from"? Should it be the country where I am a temporary resident and will be giving my interview or should it be my native country?

Thanks for your kind assistance. :)

Yes choose the country that your interview will take place. This way when we respond to your questions we can be Embassy Specific with our answers.

To balance their workload and ensure to process all types of petitions as fast as possible, I guess.

You can check here for types of petitions each Service Center handles. https://www.uscis.gov/forms/service-center-forms-processing

There might have been a reason and this is why I've asked the question. If you don't know, just say that you don't. Nobody is overanalising anything.

Thanks.

if it were to balance workload, theyd all have roughly the same number of petitions they handle and similar timeframes.

like i said, dont worry about they why. if you get an RFE, you get it and deal with it. wouldnt make a difference what service center it came from.

Easy Hombres. :D No one here can tell you the workings of the USCIS and why or why not something is done the way WE think it should be done. Sometimes, looking at this process can cause an emotional reaction and @debbiedoo was just pointing this out. I have to agree with her that you should not over analyze this process because in the end you stand in front of the CO at your interview and in 5 minutes it's over and your walking out of the Embassy scratching your head trying to figure out why it was so short. The hard work in all this is the wait. We are all here to help each other out. Sometimes it helps just to walk away from something that someone said and leave it alone. I do it all the time. It's not worth having agita over it. Just my opinion.

Thank you!

I would think it may also have to do with staffing  at the various centers and what type of petitions they’re trained to process. There’s so many different types my guess would be that the adjunctors only specialize in a few.

Eh, @theafons was just asking a question.

Why you have to be so rude in most of your posts? Again, people come to this forum to find info and answers, if you don’t like their questions just ignore them, is not that hard.
