I saw you were DR TOO. I honestly don’t know how we got approved this early, though i am grateful!! We have a pretty easy case never been married and no kids no record. That’s what I’m attributing my early approval to. But my friend was 197 days in before she got approved. She was like whaaat??  I would feel the same way if the shoe was on the other foot!! I'm getting progressively more anxious too, but I really don't think calling while you're still in normal processing times ( check what the inquiry date is at https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ for form I-129F at the California Service Center) is useful unless perhaps it lets you feel like you're doing something.

 

There's likely not anything wrong with your case, and if there is you won't know until you get sent an RFE (or notified you've been sent one). Really. May is getting processed very quickly compared to April and March, as near as I can tell. But we're all still within normal processing times. Heck, those of us from the tail end of May aren't even quite within the start of the normal processing times range yet.

All I got was they put in a request and for me to be updated once they process and review the request/case... gave them my email....

In the event that down the road you ask a question of this process and you're looking for an answer one would have to know the embassy that your interviewing at in order for us to answer the question. It's kinda how it works around here.

its a waste of the employees time, who could be assisting someone who REALLY needs help.

 I called as well but didn’t speak to anyone they put me through an automated system , how can I actually talk to an agent?

People here really need to understand this! It's a waste of time and won't do anything but add frustration. To call them when your within "normal processing time" as defined by them, not us, and not VJ only adds to longer wait times and pad answers. The reality is they have a call center with people that see the exact same information that any of us can see by pulling up our case number on the website. These people field who knows how many calls per day just to give them the exact same information we already have access to without waiting on hold. They aren't adjudicators. They don't have any special access privileges beyond what we already have. They are just normal call center folks paid to pass on the most basic information useful to those who may not have internet access. There have also been plenty of people who have called and been told they are still within normal processing time, they need to wait, and they have their NOA2 hard copy show up that day or the next. They were obviously approved before they made the call as there are a few days from approval to hard copy arriving in the mail, and the website and call center both showed the same information: We have received your case. Those famous "silent approvals" that don't show up on the site.

Everyone from May are well below normal processing times. Calling will get no results the uscis site has a date of when you can call. If your date is after the posted date then you can call if you're still within normal processing times there is absolutely no reason to call unless you wish to backlog  the system even farther
