So we are waiting for a response.  Anyone heard anything as yet.  According to timelines, they are up to April 12th.  Anyone set any wedding plans yet?  Any suggestions?

Some early May filers are starting to see approvals, but there are still lots of filers from April and before who haven't been approved yet. Suggestion is to not make wedding plans (especially if you're doing a big ceremony) that cannot be changed until Visa is in hand. Golden rule! :)

This thread should help you though:

I suggest you spend NO money which can not be refunded and make no plans which can not be changed........Too many things can delay plans in the world of immigration.  Many people here have leaned that the hard way...good luck!!

Hi @Greenbaum thank you for reminding me. I check ur visaconnection website to check for everything needeed for the interview. It is such a very detailed website. Everything that we (k1 applicants) are there. The website saves us time and effort to look and gather information for what we need. Even the steps are in order.

Well, as of today. We are 160 days waiting for NOA2 and I haven't gather my PSA Bcert, PSA Cenomar and NBI clearance (I haven't been married and no kids), is it early to get these or can I get them now?

I did not live in another country for 6 mos but I have been to 4 Asian countries for a couple of days for travel. I have a flight next month to Bangkok together with my dearest mother for quality time together. Will do DS-160 when I get back to Phils to enlist it.

As of now, I gather more evidences. Print recent pics together from his vacay this oct here in Phils. Print chats and chatlogs every month. Print gifts he gave to me. He gave me his original income tax, w2, 1040 and employment letter then photocopy of passport biopage and 2 bcert.

Maraming salamat for checking and reminding @greenbaum

I will get the PSA bcert next week. Thanks for the guidelines! You are such a great help. You're the bomb!

The reason why I make a lot of evidences is because our relationship span is short. I have heard this is one of the red flags. My fiancee and I met once for 5 days then when he came back to US filed for k1. Then came back in 1 week for our prenuptial shoot and vacay together. I have 55 pics together, chats and chatlogs from Feb - Oct 2018, VC pics, Social media posts, Booking tix, Airline itinerary, agoda hotel voucher, hotel certificate, ATM - restaurant and SM receipts, bus tix and adventure tix and money transfer receipts.

I gather tons of evidences to show our real relationship. Is these enough? Or do I forget anything? We will do courthouse wedding when I get there during the 90 days then when afterwork papers are made we'll start organizing traditional wedding. I will present 'some' of our plans in the interview like wedding dress, his suite, groom and bridesmaid list and guest list.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated @greenbaum and VJ-ers :)

Here's the 411 on red flags at USEM. There basically are none. Meeting within two years of filing CHECK. Everyone's span is short unless of course those few who can afford to go back and forth for more than one time. I went two times but had no problems. Most do not. USEM is such an easy embassy to process through.

Just a note on your evidence. They may not ask for any pictures or other items for proof so don't be surprised if they don't ask but that doesn't mean you should not take it with you but just be informed that you'll probably not be asked for it.

Also, don't offer any additional information FREELY like wedding plans as they can open a whole "new can of worms". If the CO ask about your plans, then share but don't volunteer information. The may used that information against you in additional questions and probing. Just saying.

Thank you!! Thank you so much!! :D Okay, I will do that. I will prepare wedding plans but not offer it freely so I wont get in trouble.

Also, as in very very last question @greenbaum, I met my fiance thru a mutual friend. I am planning to print our conversation that my friend introduced us to each other so it would convince them that we are a real couple and present it to them 'if asked'. Our convo is in tagalog, maybe I can translate it into English language. Can I do these?

I'm very very sorry if I ask too much and also thank you thank you thank you so much!! 😁😁

Again, USEM is one of the easiest Embassy to process through. You are overthinking and trying to add more then what is necessary. Follow what is in Hank's website and that's all that is needed. Easy Peasy. Don't do what do will do.

BTW you will me in front of the CO for 5 min! Interview DONE.
