Oh yeah I did that even my fiance went to talk in person with an officer and he said to send a letter explaining our mistake plus the information about his case. I already did it. I'm just still scared about this topic because I made a mistake wishing for the best, of course. You will definitely hear something first than me. My NOA1 is on June 15th. Wish you the best. Let's pray and let's be positive.  Let me know how it goes 😄😄😄😄

Hey @Stefannievs could you tell me what you sent,  I think I will go ahead and send it just in case to be in the safe side.

I sent a letter to the same address than our file with our WAC and this is called "addendum" explaining the mistake and the court documents ( case was dismissed) all signed up for my fiance (petitioner) and that's it.

Hello everyone.

So... I called USCIS regarding my issue, I will likely get an RFE based on what she said, luckily she was super nice and sweet with me over the phone. She said that the the process its taking about 5 to 6 months and that we will start hearing from them in a couple of weeks some of us next week because they are working on applications submitted at the end of April already(at least her pile of applications). She also said they are trying to get done as much as possible before the holidays, she also said that they have a deadline and they are trying to get done all the files up until June to avoid files to piled up to have a clear stack when they come back "in her own words".

So hopefully we will start hearing from them soon.

She was so nice to the point she was telling me that she will dress her puppy up for halloween as a coffee mug. LOL!! 🐶

GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE!!! LET THOSE APPROVALS RAIN!!

Well, Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's, but before them usually means before Thanksgiving. Having said that, I've got to think they won't make any real dent in June before Thanksgiving.

If you download usps app and sign up for informed delivery you can digitally preview your mail and packages that are set to arrive soon. You can view the exterior of the letter. I thought it would be cool to have knowing that some of our noa2s will be coming in the mail in the next few weeks. ( fingers crossed )

So you got an email and you could see the letter head the day you received the noa2 in the mail? Sorry just curious to know how it works.

There is a service provided by the USPS (US Postal Service) whereby each morning USPS will scan your incoming mail (just the address side of the envelope) and email you an update. It's very convenient these days to have advance notice that an important piece of mail is being delivered.

The service is available to most communities but some are still being rolling out so not all areas are available. Check the website with your zip code to verify your location is available for the service. A person in the USA can sign up for this free service here: https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

Here is what I have.

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=Dominican%20Republic&cty=Santo%20Domingo

https://drive.google.com/file/d/17b9Xxvd_YAgCenc65GwkdDDO5-3NytY3/view?usp=sharing

After waiting for "something" finally on August 3, 2018 the Embassy at Santo Domingo notified us by email that we that we could start filing DS-160 and scheduling  VAC  and Consulate Appointments.  As stated before in these forums the Santo Doming Embassy does not mail packet #3.  However we expected some kind of notification by "snail" mail but got the email instead.  Still in doubt that the package was received electronically since NVC sent it on July 24 and the info was updated on July 25 with status Ready.  Now the CEAC shows that the case was updated on August 6.

Since both medical exam providers  Consultorios de Visa and Servicios Médicos Consulares list the appointment sheet (Hoja de Cita)   as a prerequisite you must schedule your appointments on the ustraveldocs.com/do website.  In order to do that you need the DS-160 confirmation number.

As stated in these forums be very VERY careful on creating your ustraveldocs (aka https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/applicanthome)  profile.  I won't spout the whole rant about the website.  Be mindful of two caveats: 1) Type the email exactly as it is.  One small typo will cause you not to receive anything since the profile will be created without the system validating the email first.  2)Never create more that one profile just to check out website user interaction.  I did both mistakes and had to call ustraveldocs and request that all 3 profiles (the first I created, the one with the typo in the email and the one with the correct email) be merged since I used the same beneficiary's data.  The system checks that and won't let you pay and schedule your appointments.  VAC appointment is on the last week of August and Embassy in mid-September.  After we are done I will be updating our timeline.

Once we passed that hurdle we managed to fill and file DS-160 print in PDF the confirmation page.  We also printed in PDF the DS-160 already filled and filed.  By this week we hope to complete the medical and all requested documents. Know I will fill form I-134 as part of my files and wait patiently to meet again with my love 😍

After you have gone to the VAC and your case is ready in the USA Embassy in Santo Domingo, you can go to do your medical.

You don't need appointment, you just need to arrive early, before 11.00am.

They work from Monday to Friday.

You can get your results in 1 week but it is better if you go 10 or 15 days before your interview just in case that something happen with their system and so on.

From <http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/665645-medical-exam-dominican-republic/>

What they are asking for is a letter that the embassy is supposed to send by email and mail box  to the petitioner, but we never got that letter in the email, so I called a lot the embassy too but they kept saying that I didn't need that letter for the medical, so I emailed them and they sent the same answer that I was getting by phone.

I went to Consultorio de visas and I show them the Letter that NVC sent by email to my fiancé, over there is all the information and the SDO Number.

Did your fiancé get that letter?

if you got it you could  use that one and they should accept it because they did with me.

and the other choice that works with another girl was that she took a screenshot to the page in the CEAC where you check your visa status and it says READY, meaning that the case is ready for the interview.

That was in the other place called SERVICIOS MEDICOS CONSULARES.

Call them and find out, maybe they can help you.
