Hello everyone! I'm a May filer and can't believe we're so close to our NOA2 😍

I got a little bit confused, we sent i-129f on May 1st and on the old website it says they received it on May 4. At the same time on the hard copy it says "Notice date May 09, 2018" and "Received date May 04, 2018". So which date I should consider as NOA1 date? Just want to have everything in a right order. Thanks!

For a long time the convention here was to go by received dates because the automated scans they used to do were based off of the old web site.

But honestly, five days isn't a big difference. You've already been waiting over five months.

Also, since you're a few weeks ahead of me with a Russian fiancé(e), I'll be watching pretty closely when you post updates, and cheer you on.

Thanks a lot :) Five days are not this much important, however I just wanted to be sure which day I suppose to count as a NOA1 to keep my timeline correct and checking the website
Looks like they are getting closer to the end of April, so I'm pretty excited and also getting nervous 😥

Hello everyone.  I'm trying to get stuff in order for our interview.  Should I have an Affidavit of Support for my fiance when she goes into the interview?  Or is tax statements for the last three years enough right now?  Any other important documents we should get in order?  Wish we could get the medical exam done before the embassy receives the documents.

EVIDENCE OF SUPPORT. You should be able to demonstrate that you will not become a public charge or be a burden on the U.S. taxpayers for financial support. A completed I-134 Affidavit of Support Form K1/K2 Interview Preparation Instructions – English (February 2014)  Page 3 of 9 with an original signature will be useful to the consular officer to evaluate your petitioner’s ability to be financially responsible for you. You should also submit your petitioner’s most recent U.S. Federal income tax return (Form 1040) and wage statements (Form W-2). Employment letters stating salaries and bank statements may be included to substantiate the I-134.

Today marks my 5.5 months since our NOA1 was received. Website says May 4 but hardcopy says May 9. I have been following both April and May since it was sent before May 1! I fall in to both months I guess. BUT I AM SO IMPATIENT! 165 days went by so fast! Our time is coming !!

Hope our time comes soon. But I think don’t expect the NOA2 any sooner than 7 months, because I see some people with NOA1 in March or even Feb still haven’t got anything yet.

Good luck to all of you here!!!

Hi everyone, hang in there I'm getting really impatient and anxious watching my fellow April filers get approved and some with dates 1 or 2 days away from ours.

There's no consistency with how they let people know how they are approved some get notified only on the new site, some on the old site and some only by mailbox, some only by text or email so needless to say myself and my fiancé are checking the mailbox daily and everything else several times a day once it  hits California time which is hard with me being in the UK I'm 8 hours ahead of California time!!

If you think you are anxious now, chill out cos once others with dates near yours get approved the impatience and anxiety really kicks in.

Been trying to distract myself with prep, not much left to do, house clearing started and trying to focus on my driving lessons but if NOA2 doesn't arrive before my test on Nov 2 I may have to delay it cos I cant focus.

I wonder are they (USCIS) blowing the dust off our applications and passing them out to be adjudicated. Do you think ours are still in the closet or are they on someones desk now? I am getting excited maybe some of us are going through the background check process. October is half over &*^% I can't believe it. I have not counted days like this since I was in the military.

I think they are sitting on a desk somewhere.  Once we get placed next to the coffee machine, or the break room our file will actually be seen by someone.

We are beginning to think that all front loaded applications are being glanced at and thought “no way I’m not doing that big ### one” then put back on the shelf!!

They’re hiding in a back room under the great big pile of not yet approved previous months 😂

Hi all,

I just recently found this forum.  It has been refreshing reading other people's journey and using their timelines to guess my own.  My NOA1 received date is 5/16/18 and notice date is 5/21/18.  My fiancé is from China.  We just recently had another visit last month.  Looking forward for this process to wrap up!

Good luck to all :)

Glad to have you here. May I extend some information that will help you on your Journey there in China. But a little housekeeping is in order.

Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline or your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine your Embassy. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Thanks

This is a website that is dedicated to those who are processing a visa from the US Embassy in China. I personally don't have a lot of knowledge so "buyer be where".

http://candleforlove.com/

From another VJ member who had firsthand knowledge provided this information.

GUZ takes on average 30 days to deliver P3, it is not electronic.

I can tell you that P3 for GUZ is only 4 line items

1. DS-160 Confirmation Page

2. Copy of Passport Personal Page

3. 2 Passport style photos White Background, Well Lit, 50mm x 50mm

4. Return the P3 instructions page

#4 is what prevents people in China from getting a head start, they want the instructions page mailed back with the requested documents.

http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp#KVisaPetitions

U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview. K visa applicants will be notified by the U.S. Consulate General Guangzhou when it is time to schedule an interview.

An individual with an approved petition and a priority date that is current for processing (when applicable) is eligible to apply for an immigrant visa or K nonimmigrant visa. Immigrant visa applicants will be notified by either the National Visa Center (NVC)

And don't forget the help from other members here:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/forum/94-china/

And the Portal here on VJ for processing in China and what to expect

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/index.php?ctry=China&cty=Guangzhou

 or the http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-iv-visaapplyinfo.asp

Don't waste time while you're waiting for P3, complete DS-160 and print confirmation page. Since you are from China(I provided your website for you below), go to the 2nd link below and click immigrant to register under K1 visa. After you register and enter info it should be clear on how to pay fee, make sure you print Bank deposit slip. just follow directions under Nonimmigrant Visa, but make sure when you register K1 is under Immigrant Visa.

Directions go to http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/cn-niv-visaapply.asp

Register(Create Account) https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=China After you register make sure to choose K1 visa under Immigrant, it wasn't an option for me under non-immigrant.

If that's the case I'm screwed I front loaded to the max very thick application. They are bound to be afraid of mine. I hope that's  not the case but possible. If I seen my application I would push it aside for a easier one.  This is not good  lol time will tell though......
