Welcome to our merry band of May filers.

If you fill out your timeline, you can get an estimated NOA2 date based on your NOA1 date; unless you're in the last week of May (like Anastasia and me), I think the estimated date will probably be in November, actually.

Thank you, yes i am just figuring out the whole timeline thing on this site. On our receipt it says accepted on May 24... I try to not look on the processing time site as I saw that the average time extended by half a month... Hopefully you are right and we all will have our NOA 2 before Xmas 😿

Exactly 160 days today. Time flies so fast, just chill.. we’re all getting closer 😀

We are at 155 day.  Getting closer.  I just found this site a few days ago, but it is helping pass the time, while we all get the privilege of doing the  "hurry up an wait" the government loves to do.

So i got a situation... my fiancé is military and he just finished his tour in Korea, now he is going to the states but not to our next base which is Hawaii, but to Texas cause he gotta go take some classes so by the time he will go to our next base it will be December ish. Is the NOA2 a paper 📝 mail or an email ? He can’t update the address as he wont have one till end December maybe even January (he gotta look for a house and all ). Maybe it would be a good idea to  update the address and put mine from Italy? But idk if we can do that as I’m sure it has to be on his name.

It's a paper mail, though you'll probably (though not definitely) get an email or text notification if you signed up for it. If he's not sure where he'll be living around when he gets the form, he might want to change his mailing address to a friend or relative or PO Box. You won't need the hardcopy of the form for a while, but will need it for AOS after you marry.

USPS is pretty good about forwarding mail:

I'm not exactly certain, but I would think that if he has an address in the family that he could send stuff to, that would probably be best.  Once he gets more permant housing, he should update the address...

Let the mail go to his parents house or a friend. He doesn't need the NOA2 until after marriage and when you file for AOS. The important document is the case number. There are ways of getting that also later on when it is assigned to insure he has a copy.

Next, he should sign up for USPS scanned mail email advisory. There is a service provided by the USPS (US Postal Service) whereby each morning USPS will scan your incoming mail (just the address side of the envelope) and email you an update. It's very convenient these days to have advance notice that an important piece of mail is being delivered.  He

The service is available to most communities but some are still being rolling out so not all areas are available. Check the website with your zip code to verify your location is available for the service. A person in the USA can sign up for this free service here: https://informeddelivery.usps.com/box/pages/intro/start.action

In the timeline, where it says "your I129f may be adjudicated", what exactly does this mean?  Is this the hand-off from USCIS to the NVC?

It's when you receive your NOA2.

Today marks my 5.5 months since our NOA1 was received. Website says May 4 but hardcopy says May 9. I have been following both April and May since it was sent before May 1! I fall in to both months I guess. BUT I AM SO IMPATIENT! 165 days went by so fast! Our time is coming !!
