Thank you so much Lucy&Jason 🌷🌷🌷

Before I forget, needed documents for the beneficiary will be stated in the packet 3. If you can secure Police Clearance now the better.. some PC’s takes time to get. Goodluck..

Proof of police. Thank you, I am going to the police in November. We patiently wait for NOA 2, then packet 3.

Good luck to you too 😉

Just joined VJ recently as I have been patiently and inpatienly waiting... I wish there was a faster way of being with your loved one without having to wait so long. Nonetheless, it's worth it in the end. Quick question, USCIS website says 5-7 months but it's rare for a petition to be approved in 5 months right?

NOA1 received May 31, 2018.

NOA2: hopefully soon?

Except for a single outlier, I think the March approvals among posters here mostly started coming in at around six months. Your timeline is giving an estimated NOA2 date of Dec 10-14 right now, though that's based on current averages reported here.

Does the Clearance have to be within a certain time period of the interview?  I believe the medical check does..

I also saw in another thread that for those of us with Canadian beneficiaries, they may require a different clearance now (as of September).

Glad it was helpful!  :)

Looks like I filed a few weeks after you - do you know if it matters when we get the cert? Does it have to be within a certain time period of the interview?

I've honestly seen both 6 months and 1 year validity... even on the official U.S. gov sites it isn't consistent, so probably best to be safe with 6 month validity. I'm finding a tough balance trying to decide when is too soon and when is too late! 😊

We had some dialogue in the April filers thread yesterday and a few folks are currently working on getting certs!

If it's 6 months, October cert would be valid through April, so seems like it's not a bad idea for us to jump on it :)

I believe Police Clearance’s validity is only 6months.. You may consider getting one before(depending on the country’s specific requirements) noa2 and making sure that it is still valid before your scheduled interview.

Thanks.

We've been able to see each other about every four months on average (this one's going to be five, so we miss each other a lot), and this will overlap the one-year anniversary of our first in-person meeting. Hoping at the next meeting after this one she has her interview scheduled, but in Moscow, who knows?
