I agree.. this is not about the wedding this is about “marriage”, your lifetime union and faithfulness with each other. There were few people who rushed getting married but end up unhappily and discontented. So let us always trust the Divine Creator’s time for it is always perfect. :innocent:

i dont believe in any divine creator, well other than you know, science. but yeah i think a lot of people are in love with the idea of being in love and in love with the idea of having a wedding and dont think about what its REALLY like.

Oh wow!! I love it. Thank you :) You just saved my 4$$ from reading and researching what to do. Salamat! :)

Oh wait. What is Hanks site?

Step by step instructions, where to find the documents for each step, what to do and not do, what is required and what isn't required. This has been assembled because applicants like you don't know what the next steps are and with each Embassy comes different instructions. So if you are here asking CFO questions, well someone from Germany certainly won't know what that is and where to locate the information needed. That's what Hanks site is.

Hi Greenbaum, I’m confused what $100 are you talking about to send ‘it’? I know there is a $265 embassy cost and medical cost etc but where are you getting another $100 bucks at the interview stage? Thanks

you said So you go through all the working plus $100 bucks to send it and they don't ask for it.

If you need to send documents like the I-134 with advice and you chose to send it by DHL or FedEx it's going to cost you about $100 buckaroos. :D

Ok thanks for clarifying, I was worried a step sneaked by me, lol it’s true the petitioner needs to send any of his/her documents to the beneficiary that was sent with the original I 129F plus Affidavit of support, additional relationship proof, bank statements, employment verification etc.......plus sending money for fees such as medical, embassy fee, beneficiary document fees it can be easily be $100++++++

I read the medical in Bolivia is $215, add money for beneficiary documents from government agencies, money for extras like additional 2X2 passport photos for med and embassy it adds up quick, this doesn’t even include the cost for the petitioner if he/she wants to go to the interview etc.. All I know is my Fiancé is worth every penny and then some!!!! I’m super blessed and a very small price to pay I think most here would agree.

Stick to what's in your P3 letter. Anything more is just crazy work. Ie. the I-129f is not needed but some find it to be helpful for the beneficiary to review your background so she is prepared for the interview. This whole process is not for the faint of heart. I learned during my visa application that I should not set my sites and expectations to high or they will be knocked out from under me. So I went along with the flow and did what was only necessary to get my wife here.

It's funny how we find someone half way around the world and that person is Mr. or Mrs. Right. We are super blessed to have them as our partner.

Here is what I expect, I expect one of two things, 1. Get something I thought I did or provided correctly or 2. have no problems at all.

Your right about one thing I do believe a lot of times we do find someone half way around the world and you just know immediately. I have no doubts and for a Christian guy like me (not perfect) Im blessed and pray/hope I always make her feel the same.

Hi May Filers! Have you heard about September 11 which says they won't issue an RFE anymore. Uhmm.. I read somewhere that they will still issue RFE to those who petitioned before September 11. Meaning, September 11 petitions on wards - they won't issue RFE anymore and will just deny it to decrease the number of petitions. I am a little concerned about this 'cuz we didn't front load our petition as I believe that front loading is supposed to be on the embassy interview. What's your take on this? :)❤️

I think I read somewhere previously about this, I believe it’s not concerning the K1, but other visa types. Could be wrong though

For petitions filed after September 11, 2018 they'll have the ability to issue a denial without sending an RFE or a NOID. They will also required to find all issues and send 1 RFE, rather then sending multiple RFEs to the same petitioner.

The examples given in the memo were of petitions missing obviously required information and "placeholder" petitions that were certain to be denied but were made purely for the legal effects of having filed the petition. None of the examples of cases they intend to start issuing denials without an RFE or NOID for were of fiancé(e) or spouse visa petitions.

My impression is that this should have little or no effect on K-1 petitions, except possibly freeing up adjucators who had to work on frivolous petitions. But it does give adjucators a lot more discretion, so we'll have to see how it plays out in practice.
