This website has some pretty clear instructions for what to do after NOAhttps://sites.google.com/view/post-noa2/home

There's even a timetable of different countries on how long it took their case to reach the NVC after NOA2 😁

Hi Sarge, I gave my fiancé a copy of the entire I 129F, better safe than sorry

Yes, we both have a softcopy of the entire package just to ensure both are aware of what's being sent.

That's a very good move. I recommend that 100%

If it were me and I have already done (because it’s still early) I would YouTube a CURRENT DS160 and watch it, very helpful

Good Idea I have not done that yet, I'll be sure to do it.

Rule number one about this process:
Please do not make any official wedding plans.
Too many people have lost thousands of dollars because of this- timelines are unpredictable! So many places to be delayed- if not with NOA2, then with NVC, if not, then with embassy and getting an interview or AFTER the interview. I have seen someone in AP for 3 months. So please be careful

Once you get visa, you do have 6 months to use it to enter the US plus the 3 months once POE. If having a "dream" wedding is your goal, you certainly have time (8-9 months planning) to do that AFTER you get a visa.

I know. Thank you for that.

That's exactly what I told him.

I was just curious of how others are doing with the preparation or wedding plan or if anyone have a suggestion on how to better answer if that question is being ask during the interview.

These whole thing really scare me ya know. Trying to not make any tiny avoidable mess that might ruin everything.

My fiance (now husband) was asked the same question.
He said we would have apprx __ guests, its gonna be in __ place with family and is estimated to be in ___ month based on when I get visa.
Like embassy folks are not stupid. They know it's a weird situation. They only ask that question to see IF you even thought about the wedding. For instance, have y'all even figured out if you gonna have a regular/court house wedding etc. Cuz it would be odd to be marrying someone without ANY idea what the wedding is gonna look like.

Don't stress about it. That's the easy part of this whole process.

DS10 form is that the form you fill out and submit (if you were born in the US) if you don't have a birth certificate, or are you referring to another form if so what is it. I'm sure most of us USC have birth certificates already. But yes the other things you mentioned are good ideas keeping in mind that these things would be embassy specific. It's best to send a copy of your K1 packet to your other half so they can prepare and they can see EXACTLY what you prepared. You can send that along with your I-134 and other things the interviewing embassy requires.

I think you meant DS160, I don’t think I would recommend doing this to soon but do as you wish....if the system somehow deletes your info or account from now until 3-4 months out what a mess that would be needing to correct even with a new account/email etc.

Everything else definitely prepare what you can and know the next steps, be aware for the petitioner our records need to be as current as possible....bank statements, employment verification etc

That's a rare occurrence, I completed mines in January and submitted it in July. I haven't seen anyone as of yet have any issues with the system, even if you forget your login in information they will trace it by the passport information provided.
