I knew it would take a while to hear something when I started this process but I didn't expect to be waiting this long 206 days later and still nothing😔. Maybe someone will give us good information and not a generic answer once we're outside of the normal processing time.

We can only hope that will be the case @NicholeT but again I'm not setting the bar high. Normally I'm kinda a pessimist.I learned that behavior over the years as it has shielded me from a lot of heartache and setbacks, but i do admit it is NOT a great way to view life or things it just has worked for me especially during this process. Do I stress you betcha do I get disappointed of course. Hopefully they can tell us MORE!!!!

I'm not setting it high either @Sarge2155. I was excited once May approval started back in October and even more so once November came in. I expected too much only to be disappointed everyday. These days I'm just waiting to get outside of normal processing so I can call. Don't get me wrong an approval would be great before then lol but I have to adjust fire!

Exactly very good attitude to adopt. I understand totally and I am doing the same thing. Nothing else we can really do but this. Wow you said "Adjust Fire" that's an artillery term, only thing the artillery is more accurate (in most cases) than the K1 process.....LOL

I was so hopeful going in. I was in a good place up to the start of the week but its December. At this point, I'm not call nor checking anymore. I'm sick of this process. It makes me think bad things. Trying to stay positive.

Noooo don't do that don't think the bad things, I am one to talk cause i do it too, but don't do that. It's like throwing gas on a fire. Yes stay positive eventually we have to get denied or approved. Plan your next courses of action i.e. the online inquiry. Example for what it is also worth I'm going to do the online inquiry and then if i am not approved or given a reasonable explanation of my case i am going to contact my congressional  representative at the 8 month mark (again for what that would be worth). We have to "adjust our fire" it's a continuous thing. But I am hoping this will not be needed, but i am assuming it will be. I suspect December to be a slow month due to the Holiday see told you I was a pessimist.

I was too but now I'm just waiting to call or email. That is all I know to do at this point. I have visited other threads and it's not just us waiting longer times of course, I think it was last week when an April filer got approved at 220 something odd days I believe. It doesn't make the sutuation any easier I know. Try to hold on and remain as positive as you can. It doesn't rain forever the sun will shine after awhile!!🤞🏽🤞🏽

i dont know how much that has to do with it or maybe it depends on what the records consist of (misdemeanor vs felony/ how old they are/ etc). I have a record from when i was young and stupid and it didn't hold it up any. i included the most recent court disposition cause i had it, but not the others. I did include a letter addressing the issues in my past, and relating the conversation paul and I had about it, so maybe that made a difference.

No it's just a misdemeanor ticket. I think it was driving without insurance but somehow they got it to where it shows up on background checks. It popped up on my background check when I was hired at Citibank and again when I applied for Global Entry. The lady at TSA was nice about it but it held up my Global Entry for a few days and it held up my Citibank job for a couple weeks. I didn't have to do anything but wait for them to get more info on it. Never had a felony or anything besides traffic violations. Not sure if it is what is holding up my case but I wouldn't be surprised if it is.

That's the thing i did a background check with TSA awhile back and breezed through it. Like has been said over and over there is NO rhyme or reason. There always has to be a few in each month that take longer than others and I'm guessing that's us.

Remember to keep your relationships strong, don't be afraid to let your partner know how you are feeling, at the same time hopefully your partner is in your corner and understanding in this trying situation. My fiancee told me that in her group chat (May 2018) on messenger or Facebook there is a couple that broke up and their K1 was approved a few days later 10 months it took to get approved. The break up was mutual no details were supplied other than the beneficiary wanting to know what she could do to cancel the K1 even after she knew it was approved. We all know or should realize that this K1 process is very trying and stressful, do not let it get the best of you, don't say things to your partner that you will regret later. An argument is like a fire and it takes water to put it out (maybe if it's a small fire a blanket would work LOL) but you get my drift. In an argument one of the parties is going to have to be the water!!!!! Also loving your partner is 99% of the solution

Yeah but you are much longer than me. Hopefully you get the notice on Monday. On the app tracker most of the people around my case number are still waiting too. I was hoping to get approved this past week so we might be able to schedule her interview before Lunar New year but doesn't look like that's going to be possible . Monday will be 8 weeks to Jan 21st which I think is the latest interview date we can get and have me fly back with her if she passes the interview. Most of the interview dates I see are about 8 weeks from NOA2 although there are a couple that say 6 weeks. It would be ok if the Government didn't shut down for a week to celebrate Lunar New Year but we have to plan around it.
